Brewing Soon Coffee (BSCL) — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I visited Brewing Soon Coffee Lab and had such a great experience! The cafe has a cozy, retro vibe with a touch of nostalgia, and the food presentation is beautiful.

We tried the Big Breakfast, which came with fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy hash browns, sautéed mushrooms, toast, ham, baked beans, and fresh salad — everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. The burger and fries were juicy and satisfying, and the creamy pasta with chicken was rich but not overwhelming.

For pastries, the croissants were buttery, flaky, and perfectly baked, and the tiramisu cup was light, creamy, and not too sweet — highly recommend pairing it with their coffee. Speaking of drinks, both the iced latte and iced lemon tea were refreshing and complemented the food really well.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit even better. Definitely a place worth revisiting for both the food and...

This place had been empty for quite a while, so I was really looking forward to the new café when construction started.

From what I clearly remember, the café opened in July 2025. But strangely, the sign says: “Since 2024.”

So unless I’ve completely misunderstood the timeline—or somehow skipped a whole year—we might be living in the Matrix. Judging from the atmosphere and the staff, maybe the Chinese government has actually managed to build their own version... well, let’s just call it a copy of the Matrix.

The departure of "Dough by Meg" left big shoes to fill, Brewing Soon partly fills those shoes, the pastries and coffee being ok. The interior is tastefuly decorated, though the loud western pop music playing detracts from a relaxing experience.

The name "brewing soon" is somewhat of a misnomer, a perpetual state of being incomplete/unfinished. Wouldn't the title "brewed" be more appropriate, implying we are ready now? An unsettled feeling lingered throughoit the visit, perhaps a Chinese riddle I'm yet to...
