PastaMania Maldives — Restaurant in Malé

5 of us in our family visited. At the entrace we were asked to pick a rolled piece of paper from a tray at random. What we picked offered us 5% discount. First of all, we had to wait over an hour for the food to be served from the time we ordered. Considering this is a fast food restaurant and some of us ordered just a drink and an ice-dream while others did order food dishes, the waiting time was unacceptable. The food served was nothing like that shown on the menu. For instance, I ordered a sea-food and prawn soup with speghetti in it. The taste was not what upto any standard we expected. On top of that, my wife asked me if she could have a prawn from my dish and a had to practically dive in my dish to find one. I only found 4 prawns in my entire dish. No water was served upfront, and when we finally had finished our food and asked for water it took another 15 minutes. This was after repeatedly reminding the waiter and finally complaining to the head-waiter. When the water finally came, it was just a water bottle without any glasses. I suppose they expected all to take turns drinking straight from the bottle. When we complained about this it took another 10 or so minutes for the glasses to arrive. Our complaints regarding the whole experience prompted the head-waiter to offer us a free desert which we had to decline as we already had spent a little over 2 hours there. The atmosphere was loud and hectic and it was very hot. We paid the bill and left only to realize later when checking the bill that there was no discount of 5%. Our experience there was a very bad one and we decided not to visit the place again. I would not recommend anyone...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pastamania Maldives (Pre opening), and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience! Nestled in a beautiful location, this restaurant offers a perfect blend of cozy ambiance and exceptional food, making it a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Italian cuisine.

The menu is a fantastic mix of pizzas and pastas, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor. The pizzas are crafted with a thin, crispy crust and topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients. My personal favorite was the localised pasta dishes – must try

As for the pastas, they were cooked to perfection – al dente, just the way it should be! The Carbonara was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of smokiness The prawn Aglio e Olio was another standout, with its simple yet bold garlic and chili flavor with perfect prawns

The service was impeccable – the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made great recommendations and ensured our dining experience was seamless.

We arrived at the restaurant around 20:40. We weren’t sure if there was a floor manager present, but two staff members were serving the ground floor. We sat and called the staff twice. One of them said someone would attend to us shortly.

At 21:05 someone finally came to take our order. Surprisingly, the food arrived around 9:45 AM, which was quicker than expected considering how full the place was.

Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. Both my husband and I ordered different dishes, but neither tasted good. I ordered carbonara with penne pasta, but it came mixed with spaghetti, as you can see in the photo. The penne was also undercooked so hard it was barely edible. My husband’s dish didn’t taste good either.

Given how busy the place was, we had high expectations, but we were very let down. The drinks were okay, but overall, we were really disappointed. We even called a staff member to address the issue, and they asked us to wait but no one followed up, so we ended up paying the bill and leaving.

The atmosphere is beautiful and nice. The service is slow they take time to take one order and they use a cloth which is not that hygienic for me. They took more than 15mins to bring a water...
