Their service is very good, I appreciate that. But the problem is the food. It's just a disproportioned masala disaster. No taste what so ever. If food is not tasty then all the good services & arrangements are totally useless.
It is one of the worst places for Indian cuisines. The people who are familiar or regularly have been taken Indian cuisines will know that they are just putting random masala to make dishes, and it's totally not tasty at all. The people who never taste Indian food will think that Indian food is disgusting. They need to change the chef & hire someone who knows how to cook. Just put some masala mixture into food , and it doesn't make it delicious.
There are lot's foods & drinks to choose from, but the quality of food is very bad(which I ordered). I really don't like the taste 🤢(01/10).
I don't think I'll go again to taste food there in the near future & and I will not recommend it to anyone.
Foods & drinks are a little more expensive than other places. Also need to give service charge & GST , total 16% more money. service is very good , waiters are well mannered & friendly & can understand & speak in English. (08/10) 👍 I like their parcel service. The place (environment, cleanness, decoration, etc.) is good (06/10), but non air-conditioned.
I'm not recommend it for anyone's, who wants delicious Indian cuisines/food. Try other restaurants in Hulhumale.

Read moreI visited Bombay Darbar for Iftar with two of my friends. I had made a reservation for three people. However, when we arrived, only one person's portion of food was arranged on the table, and all three of us ended up having to share that single portion.
Later, I placed an additional order for one biryani, butter chicken, and naan. The food was served, and since we were fasting, we only had a small amount and requested to pack the rest for takeaway. I informed one of the staff members, and he took the food to the kitchen. We waited for about 20 minutes, but it was never brought back.
When I followed up, I was told that takeaway was not possible—which was surprising, as I saw other customers being given takeaways. After a discussion, they reluctantly returned only the butter chicken, but with a visibly unhappy attitude. The interaction with one of the supervisors (a tall, fair-skinned, clean-shaven man) was particularly unpleasant.
What’s disappointing is that we came as a group of three, but only two meals were ordered—yet even the second meal was not handled properly. We ended up waiting for around 45 minutes, which made the whole experience frustrating and...

I would understand the increase in prices if taste stayed consistent. But it's not the same anymore. Butter chicken or palak paneer costs more than $9. and a Naan costs almost $1. Palak paneer doesn't have the same authentic taste that it used to have. I have eaten from here, and cooked it at home and now the home cooked version tastes better than the one served here. Please keep in mind that i am buying items from male' and cooking this and still tastes better.
Butter chicken, use to be creamy and rich in taste like the gravy. And meat was present in the dish like parts of chicken, proper pieces you know. Now, this dish is like a butter gravy juice with the masala needed to make the dish and 1KG of sugar. chicken is like small bits of meat which is non existent. anyone would eat this and go wow this tastes good? why? cause this is sugar.
I am very sad that the hot spot for indian food is now no more. Consistency of taste is gone.
service is really great and...
