🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A True Hidden Gem for Halal Food Lovers in Pokhara!
As someone who’s traveled extensively and values both flavor and hospitality, Pokhara Halal Food Land completely exceeded my expectations. Tucked away on a quiet stretch of Lakeside Road, this cozy little spot serves some of the most flavorful, filling, and affordable halal meals I’ve ever had in Nepal.
I ordered the buffalo curry set meal, and it was nothing short of incredible. For just 370 rupees, I was served a hearty plate with tender, spice-rich buffalo meat, unlimited rice, dal, and warm gravy. Every element was bursting with authentic South Asian flavor—clearly cooked with care and passion. The portion was generous, and I honestly couldn’t finish it all!
What really stood out though was the hospitality. The staff—especially “Dilak bro”—were incredibly kind and welcoming, offering suggestions and making sure I was comfortable throughout. It didn’t feel like a transaction—it felt like eating at a friend’s home.
The place itself is simple and clean, with a relaxed local vibe. If you’re looking for luxury interiors, this isn’t the place. But if you’re after top-tier halal food, authentic spice blends, and great value, look no further.
I came back a second time for the mutton biryani and buffalo sekuwa—and again, blown away. Everything was perfectly cooked and deeply satisfying.
Highly recommend this to Muslim travelers, backpackers, or anyone craving real, honest food. A solid 5-star experience. Don’t leave Pokhara...
Read moreGiving two stars because of their attitude and customer service. Even the food is okaish not that much extraordinary. On our last day at Pokhara we went there and ordered two buffalo curry sets. This was okay. The meat was so so. We wanted some more meat so we ordered another beef curry set and they provided. After a few minutes, the guy who took our orders went outside and another guy came to sit in the reception. We told him our order was two buffalo set and one beef set and he replied, they don't have any beef set we must have ordered something else. So, this guy went outside to call the old guy who took our order in the first place. When the old guy came I asked him about the beef set and he didn't even reply. He was trying to change the conversation.
They could've told us that we don't have beef and you can have mutton or something else but serving something else without informing us is not cool at all. Also, they billed us for water that we didn't take from them so we had to inform them and change the bill.
The only good thing was they gave 10% off because of the...

Our party of 4, plus a baby, arrived when it was full so understandably we were told there'd be a 5 min wait. A while later, only one of the tables was occupied yet we were not invited to come inside. We enquired about getting a table and were told we had to place our orders and wait until food was ready for a table
We waited for what felt like ages and our baby got restless. Made our own way to a table and asked if we could be seated.. we were. Then had to ask to he served drinks.
Food took ages to come out. Wife's buffalo chowmein tasted bland.
My fried buffalo momo tasted good, as did my beg curry.
My nieces fries could have done with some.seasoning but bland fries is better than fries that are too salty.
Service felt slow, I didn't like being made to wait whilst several tables were empty.
Not a pleasant experience and I'll...
