I had to check out of the homestay I was staying in Pokhara because they were fully booked out. Pokhara is cluttered with hotels everywhere you look and it's easy to find one that doesn't offer as good a value as some of the others. I would never have stayed in Kumari had my homestay-owner not recommended it to me. It looks like every other place on the street but is sparklingly clean with hot showers (that take some time to heat up), free wifi, plenty of sunlight and nice communal verandahs. It's a newer place, so the rooms look brand new and the price you pay for what you get is ridiculously cheap. There's power backup for the lights but not the fans. I tried to switch to a private room but the hostel was completely booked. In the middle of the night the Kumari Lodge’s owner woke up and opened up a private room for me. All outlets worked great in the rooms. The beds are soft with warm blankets. Bathrooms have toilets and hot water for the showers. You can even head up to the 4th floor rooftop for a view of thr Himilayas, usually the clouds are scarce in the mornings.
Central to the lakeside, restaurants, etc. Five stars in my book especially for the...
