The hotel is quite nice. The rooms are very comfortable and everything works in the room. The common areas are well maintained and there are great views from the roof. Their breakfast buffet is quite nice as well.
My only complaint is about the housekeeping staff. When I got my room the first thing I wanted to do after a long 2 weeks of trekking was to get a shower. I got interrupted with loud banging on my door that didn't stop until I got walked out, soaking wet, to see what all the commotion was. The housekeepers left their master key in my room after they were done cleaning and kept knocking on the door to get it back. No apologies from them, and in fact, they seemed a bit annoyed that they had to wait for me to come out. Really unprofessional on their part.
I only stayed there for two nights, so my room didn't need to be cleaned (and in fact I didn't want it cleaned). My clothes and belongings were on the floor as I was trying to organize everything. I purposely stayed in the hotel room while the housekeepers were on my floor and waited for them to leave before I left. There wasn't any "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door, so I had to hope they took the hint. They didn't. I came back to my room an hour later to find they came in and cleaned, but in the process they moved all of my things around (some of my things they actually put in the closet where I hadn't thought to look for them) and threw away papers that I didn't want thrown away, including tickets and other mementos. Very disappointing stuff.
The hotel is great. But the housekeepers put a damper on an otherwise great stay. They need better training and the rooms absolutely need a "do not disturb" sign to keep them from entering rooms when people...
Read moreAfter a two week tre this hotel met our needs perfectly: clean, comfortable, air-conditioned, good breakfast with polite and efficient service. Excellent value at off-season rates.||Our guide recommended this hotel and we followed this because we had not any research because we did not plan to visit Pokhara. It was a very good choice and I would return.||Although an uninspiring modern building from the outside, we were quite impressed during our two nights here. The hotel including the room was very clean. The room was quite spacious; plenty of room for clothes and bags. The beds were comfortable and the linen spotless. The air conditioning worked very well - a necessity in Pokhara during August, I think.||The breakfast buffet had a good choice of items which were reasonably well-cooked and warm enough - fried eggs were good, not 'rubbery' as so often is the case. The coffee was OK but at least it was unlimited.||The location, close to Lakeside Road, is convenient for restaurants and shops and walking to the lake. ||The staff were polite though there was limited interaction with them because it was a smooth stay with no issues to discuss.||If you are looking for a traditionally-built Nepali hotel with lots of carved wood and an ambience to match, then this isn't it. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, fully-functional place to stay this may well suit your needs.||The twin-room with breakfast cost $22 per night - I could easily spend this on a leisurely breakfast in a cafe -...
Read moreThis hotel deserves a rating far beyond 5 stars for every aspect. While in Nepal we stayed at 3 different hotels, this hotel was bar far the best compared to others with similar rating and price. We originally planned to stay for 7 nights and were so pleased we extended our stay for 4 more nights. This is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever seen. We’ve been to 4 and 5 star hotels around the world and this was the cleanest facility I’ve ever seen. Their attention to detail and efforts to keep areas clean really shows. You are given clean towels, toilet paper and two bottles of water everyday. The room is modern & clean, the bed is comfortable and you even get your own balcony. The staff was incredibly friendly and EXTREMELY hard working. Even after one night, you feel like family. I was especially impressed when one day one of the staff members took my Drying laundry inside from the deck when it started to rain and we were not on site. Free breakfast is included, which is delicious & the service that you get leaves you feeling like royalty. The manager and front desk was also very helpful with any plans we needed to make and fully organized renting us scooters from a safe and reliable company. Location is perfect. walking distance from everything and has views of the mountains. I will definitely return here when I come...
