My recent stay at Raniban Arcade with a group of students left me thoroughly disappointed, overshadowing the promising aspects of its prime location and friendly staff. Despite the beautiful surroundings and accommodating staff, the deplorable state of the rooms, crumbling furniture, visible dirt, roach infestation, and water supply issues make it impossible to recommend this hotel in its current condition.
The location of Raniban Arcade is, undoubtedly, its crowning glory. Nestled close to the mesmerizing Phewa Lake, the hotel offers a breathtaking backdrop that could be the perfect setting for a memorable stay. Unfortunately, any positive sentiments were quickly dashed as we entered our assigned rooms.
The state of cleanliness in the rooms was appalling. Visible dirt was scattered all over, and it was evident that cleaning had been neglected for quite some time. The furniture, instead of providing comfort and convenience, seemed to be on the verge of collapse. The dilapidated state of the furnishings further added to the discomfort, making the rooms feel unwelcoming and unsuitable for a group of students looking forward to a pleasant stay.
The roach infestation was a distressing aspect that cannot be overlooked. The presence of roaches in the rooms not only posed a serious health hazard but also created an atmosphere of unease and disgust. It is essential for any accommodation, especially one hosting guests in a tourism-centric area, to prioritize pest control and maintain a hygienic environment.
Adding to the litany of issues was the inconsistency in water supply, particularly noticeable during showers. The discomfort of dealing with inadequate water supply was an unexpected and frustrating inconvenience, further diminishing the quality of our stay.
On a positive note, the staff at Raniban Arcade were courteous and friendly. Their professionalism in handling our concerns and attempts to make our stay as comfortable as possible deserve commendation. However, the commendable efforts of the staff were unfortunately overshadowed by the systemic issues plaguing the establishment.
In conclusion, while Raniban Arcade boasts a prime location and a staff that strives to provide a pleasant experience, the deplorable conditions of the rooms, crumbling furniture, roach infestation, and water supply issues render it unsuitable for a satisfactory stay. The potential for improvement is clear, but until the management addresses these fundamental concerns, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this hotel. For those seeking accommodation near Phewa Lake, exploring alternative options may be a more prudent choice until Raniban Arcade undertakes necessary improvements to ensure a comfortable and hygienic...
Read moreHotel is very nice, will not deny that. However the staffs are not courteous enough. They are their to just get the money from you. Front desk staffs are pathetic. While exist their payment machine was not working and we were getting late to hold our flight. The frontdesk staff personal comment have made us think abt our entire trip again. Can't you keep cash in ur pocket when u r coming to some other country. It was not abt the cash, we were having enof money in our account but we didn't wanted to withdraw additional Nepali currency as we were bidding adeau to the country. While we went to withdraw cash from the atm which was just 600 NPR she took one of our bag and kept it in her custody which worth not less than 10,000 as it was having all valuable stuff and this bag was kept without our information. After we paid and went towards are cab we realized the bag is missing which we kept on reception frontdesk. She later confronted she kept it in. We were getting late, so we didn't carryon with the conversation but I think this is the right way to get the message pass across the correct source. Whoever the Manager or owner of the hotel pls note, when we can pay in cash for suite room for a week it is not a big deal for us to pay 600 nepali currency in cash too. Please try to train the frondesk staffs to be little courteous to the guest and stop doing such acts. It will spoil the name of your hotel not...

You can see the balcony and bathroom I couldn’t take bath and couldn’t enjoy the view looking at the floors and chairs table. The people from side rooms were taking bath in one room only as other rooms there was no water. Our flight was cancelled due to heavy rain just because I paid for booking hired vehicle with extra amount and reached super tired just to find this. When I told them I mentioned clearly that I want that specific room which you have shown other rooms I dont want they confirmed with payment then later told me its similar room sorry mam other one already occupied and many lies. They completely ruined my mood and scammed me. If you are going there check the room first then book orelse online don’t believe them. They just went silent when I asked responsible answer. No seriousness, no professionalism, scammers, not responsible. The only good thing is their location and view. For me worst hotel...
