Laxman Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Pokhara

The restaurant is located right along Lakeside Road. Like a few other restaurants in the area, they have an active open-concept fire pit going on to warm the place. Nice table set up and flow well, and tables are fairly spread out.

Not sure if the butter chicken did the trick (because we were used to the acquired adaptation in Toronto) but my partner loved the chicken. Yes I usually grab some butter chicken sauce on the side for my vegetarian-ness. The vegetarian mushroom soup is quite tasty.

All the staff are very polite and modest.

One dissatisfaction I have is the pressure from one of the staff. As soon as we stopped to check out the menu, we felt the individual hooked on to us until we dine in. When we ordered, there was pressure to order fast and order more dishes. It was with all good intentions of course but experience felt off...

We have arrived at 15:00, and ordered in 5 mins. Unfortunately, it took us waiting for 45 mins just wait for the very first dish…the servers they just keep telling us, sorry there are busy orders, so need to wait for another 10 mins.

That’s ridiculous, because we were the only table in the restaurant at the time. Waited from hungry to HANGRY 😡

The food tastes fine, but do NOT recommend it, if you can’t wait the meal for at least 30~50...

Best food and location there is no reason to give less than 5 stars if i could i wold give 10. Just today i was there when an Indian guy was threatening the crew members with 1 star because he couldn’t get drinks from outside I mean who does that . Guys if you can’t afford just choose a different place a different venue . Don’t mess with the reputation of this amazing place . I love it . Won’t disappoint value...
