OVERPRICED & NOT GOOD EITHER: An absolute waste of time and money. Will not be going back! There are so many nice places to eat breakfast in Pokhara and I just spent what I usually spend on breakfast for 3 days. I asked to speak with someone about my food, but the same waiter kept appearing who didn’t understand the problem, and tried to say that fried eggs are difficult to get right! They were unable to provide me with breakfast as it appeared on the menu, fried eggs were burned, toast wasn’t toasted and the waiter was confused when I asked for butter (on the menu it said the toast would come with butter) I don’t mind if waiters don’t speak my language because I’m in Nepal and don’t speak Nepali and often eat in local places so don’t mind if the wrong thing appears. But the prices in this more fancy establishment don’t reflect the level of service, so I’ll be sticking to where locals eat in future. I thought I’d try something different but this was disappointing :( As I walked in, a dog took a number two on the floor of the restaurant- it was a sign, I should have turned around then! I don’t leave many 1-star-reviews, but when I do it’s because I feel ripped off and hope other people don’t experience the...
Read moreThere is so much that could be improved for the food here. If the restaurant owner reads this review, I hope they can make proper adjustments to the menu. We love Viet and Thai food so much, but were all disappointed with the food at Padma. Nothing is “authentic.” I ordered Pad Thai, and the only thing that tasted good was the peanuts. Pad Thai must be sweet, sour, and salty. Its signature flavors come from tamarind sauce. But there was no hint of tamarind in the dish at all. I know that was a vegan version, but the use of vegetables was quite offputting, too. Carrots and bell peppers in Pad Thai? Sorry, I can’t agree. Frankly, the fried rolls (nem/ chả giò) were decent, but they used the wrong type of noodles for bun cha gio, and the sauce didn’t taste good either. The staff and ambiance are okay, I wish the food could live up to the name of such a...

The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that every detail was taken care of.
As for the food, it was simply exceptional. The Pho was rich and flavorful, with the perfect balance of spices. The fresh spring rolls were light and crisp, and the dipping sauce was a perfect complement. Every dish we tried was prepared with care and authenticity, showcasing the true flavors of Vietnamese cuisine.
Overall, Padma Vietnamese Restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Vietnamese dining experience. I'll definitely be...
