Gaurishankar Backpacker’s hostel — Hotel in Pokhara

Staying at this hostel was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, I felt a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The common areas were buzzing with fellow travellers, making it easy to meet new friends and share stories from our adventures.

The dorm rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a cozy place to rest after a day of exploring. I also appreciated the affordable rates, which allowed me to stretch my travel budget further.

Overall, my stay at her exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to any traveler looking for a fun, budget-friendly, and community-driven accommodation option.

Prathna - When embarking on a travel adventure, nothing beats the feeling of a warm and delightful welcome at your chosen destination. Prathna effortlessly excels at her role, greeting guests with her enchanting smile, speaking with utmost politeness, and exuding a friendly demeanor. She is a remarkable individual dedicated to maintaining a clean and transparent business environment.

Dinesh - Always on the night shift, Dinesh takes charge of overseeing the property throughout the night. I had the opportunity to engage in conversations with him on multiple occasions, and regardless of the hour, he consistently assisted me with a smile, addressing all my inquiries with patience and care.

Housekeeping - The housekeeping team (Sabitri & Sita) deserves immense recognition for their remarkable work. I genuinely admire and appreciate their efforts wholeheartedly. Their exceptional communication with guests and their dedication to maintaining the cleanliness of the dorms is truly commendable.

I lived in Pokhara for around 3 months and this place became my home. Even when I left to stay in other accommodations, I always came back here to the yoga classes and to hang out pretty much every day. The only reason I left was because I was working remotely and needed the quiet time and space that comes with a private room. It was hard for me to get work done when I just wanted to socialize and hang out with all the wonderful people instead lol.||Where do I even begin? The people I met here (both locals and travelers) are truly going to be in my heart forever. ||This place is VERY special. The common areas, the beautiful trees and greenery, every single person who works here (Shoutout to Utsab and Pramod, who quickly became my close friends, and Dinesh, Kuldeep, and Pratna, who always took such good care of us) , the yoga classes (Given by Sheng G the best yoga teacher in Pokhara), the comfortable beds, the hot showers, everything! The energy that flows in this place is just unbeatable, please take my word for it. I spent months around this place because I just didn't have the heart to leave. I found a home in Gaurishankar, I really did.||From sunrise yoga in Sarangkot to bungee Jumping to cooking classes to day hikes, and more. I made some of the best memories of my life at this place and with the people I met here and for that, I'm eternally grateful.||I'll be back VERY soon! I love...

Green guest house near the lake

Liked · green hostel, good environment. There is a nice garden, you feel like you are in jungle. The team of this hostel really good they are friendly and helpful. The room was big and nice. I booked a room with air conditioning and it was good because in the middle of August the weather a bit warm. The linen of the bed was new and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The Very good things here, is that the front office staff working 24 hours. The price was cheap, overall its good value for money. I rate this guest house 10/10 because of the staff and because of the cheap price of the room.

Disliked · The toilet was not good, it was not cleaned well , the WC it was dirty. Washbasin also not cleaned well. The bathtub also was dirty. I have seen dirty bathroom in many hotels in this area.
