Like a Homestay This hotel is run by a very sweet family who really work hard to make you feel at home. Sometimes when i come in the children are doing homework, their parents are drinking tea, and someone is always waiting to greet you to see if you need help. The rooms are very modest but well-kept and as a single traveler, I felt very safe. They arranged drivers when needed at local prices, offered suggestions, and made any planning to other towns or activities for me so that I could enjoy my time exploring Lakeside and elsewhere. The wife does all the cooking for the restaurant downstairs, buying the produce herself at the market, and her skills are INCREDIBLE. There were many exciting places to eat around here, but I found myself eating at least one meal a day here because the food is so good. Sometimes, they even bring fresh food from the mountains--from the owner's family farm! The staff is so friendly and thoughtful, and the children too also do their best to assist you if they can, whether it's bringing you tea or making reservations.
The location was perfect for me because I didn't want to be in the middle of the loud music in the center of Lakeside. Many hotels have no view because there a hotel right next door, but next to this one is a garden and from many of the rooms and the rooftop you can see the mountains and the lake. It's close enough to town for it to be a short walk but far enough away for the restaurants nearby to be half the price of the main area.
I really came away from this experience feeling the warmth of the family smiling when I came back every night, asking how my day went, and feeling like I made some amazing friends. When I come back to Pokhara I will...
Read moreWe booked one room for three for the first week of May 2022, but when we arrived, the hotel said that they don't have the room that we booked anymore. They tried to sell us two rooms asking for two persons to stay in one room and one in another room.
We thought that the hotel lied us and wanted to make money out of it by selling us two rooms. That's why we asked the hotel to bring another bed to a double bed room so that we all three can sleep together. One of us had to sleep on a floor for the price we paid for three beds.
Also, the hotel door in our room locked from inside. We could not open it. The owner tried to open it, but he could not do it too. That's why we had to use the window to go inside the room.
It was a very bad experience for us even though I see it has a good rating. We may have been unluckly about the room door not working properly, but I definitely think that the owner intentionally wanted to make more money out of us by selling two rooms saying that the three bed room that we booked was not available.
I just wanted people to be careful with a possible...
Read moreI stayed here for a day both before and after my 4-day trek in July 2025. My experience here both times was great.
Before, I was given a room with a fan, air conditioning, a nice bed, and a nice view. Also, the hotel stored my luggage for no charge over the duration of my trek, and with no expectation that I book another night. I left at 4:30 AM, and they locked my luggage up for me.
After, I stayed for one more night. I was given the same room. I enjoyed my stay here. The bed is quite firm, and the shower head needs to be replaced, but the room is cold enough with the air conditioning and the fan to sleep well. Also, the location is perfect for exploring the Lakeside neighborhood and the lake.
Last, I had lunch here for a reasonable price, and I booked a taxi to the airport through the front desk, and they charged me a reasonable 1,000 rupees. And I didn’t have to negotiate with a...
