I have to say, I was excited to give this place a shot. For the most part facilities were fine, wifi decent, hot running water was nice, squat toilet, ok perfectly fine. |The journey got off to an..interesting start with the owner and I getting into a miscommunication (despite my having my booking information pulled on my phone) about which room I booked for and how much it cost. |His lack of English (which really isn't a problem, genuinely other than it adds to the confusion) was lacking. Once we got a translator it was cleared up instantly and everything brushed aside. ||I stayed in the dorm, I understand the concept of you get what you pay for (4$)|- I guess I wasn't expecting to have paid for a spider dropping onto my head at night (haha, right?) and the fact they didn't change the sheets when the other guest left..||In addition the owner came to check on me the next day. Which I thought was lovely, considering the awkward (yet respectful) exchange from my check in. He offered them to hold any luggage I didn't need for my trek- once again very courteous. |He asked me to pay, and I, out of politely not actual unknowing... asked how much. He said 800 rupees. My heart broke a little bit. This was our exact conversation the day before at check in before; I had prepaid X amount via Hostelworld so my remaining balance was less than 800r. |I bit my tongue and handed him 800 rupees. My choice- I get that. I was not about to attempt to explain it again- already failed the day before...|My complaint, with such confusion why is there not more accessible staff? The office was constantly empty and provide little or no support or assistance. And I ultimately overpaid for accommodation that was not worth overpaying for. ||Advice: fork over the money for a...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I stayed at the unique mountain guesthouse for ten days and had a very good time. Our room on the top of the roof was spacious, cozy and due to the fact that our room was the only one on the rooftop, we could use the roof as our little own roof-deck, which was very convenient.||We booked the breakfast (which contained two slices of bread, jam, butter, two eggs and juice for two dollars) and it was well worth its money. ||The guesthouse is located in a calm district of Pokhara but the main street is just 500 meters away so you can get there very quickly.||The staff was so friendly and we felt like home as soon as we arrived. Both of us had some digestive problems and the crew provided us with life-saving toiletries and cared for us. The entire staff always smiled and has been truly friendly, so the guesthouse has a very family atmosphere. ||The only little complaint is the de facto non-existant room service; our room was tidied up and really clean when we arrived but despite our longer stay, the housemaids did not clean the room and we had to bring the waste bin to the reception desk on our own. But this is the only minor problem we faced during our stay at the guesthouse which can easily be fixed. ||All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely visit the unique mountain guesthouse again.||We recommend to take the room on the rooftop to enjoy some more privacy as well as a beautiful and breathtaking view over...
