My boyfriend and I stayed here for over 2 weeks and couldnt recommend it enough for comfort, value for money and location. There is also a gorgeous roof top terrace to enjoy the views of Cusco on. ||It is located right off of Plaza de Armas in its own courtyard meaning you are right in the heart of everything but can enjoy a peaceful night sleep (essential for pre and post Inca Trail). ||We enjoyed a private room, bathroom (with hot water) and breakfast for the cheapest price of any private have seen in the whole of South America. The same as what our friends were paying for a dormroom!||The hostel is ran by a lovely Peruvian family making it a real local experience. We left our bags with them on every trip we went on and they welcomed us back with open arms no matter what time it was in the morning (without charging us for an extra nights stay). ||I would recommend this hostel to anyone who is looking for an excellent value for money stay in Cusco and is looking for some peace and quite whilst being in the...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. When we booked through a reputable booking website we were promised a king size bed, cable TV, 24 hr hot water, use of kitchen facilities, room service, sun terrace, and located 3m from main square. All lies. ||||We had a double bed, there were cables but no TV, hot water was not always available, to use the kitchen you must pay extra 5 soles per hour, room was never cleaned with toilet paper bin overflowing, even when we arrived the bin was never cleaned from the pervious occupants, there was no access to sun terrace, and at least 15min walk to and from main square. Over the number of days we stayed here, rooms never seemed to be cleaned days after people left. ||||It's a very sloppy place run by lazy hosts. Only positive it's the cheapest accommodation closest to the plaza. But my recommendation would be to pay just a little more and you can be 100% more comfortable while enjoying this...
Read moreWhen entering the hostel, it looks like going through the living room. The staff (or the people who live there) are nice and willing to help. The only English speaking person is a young lady. Hostel is very close (5 mins walking) to the main square (Plaza de Armas) and Plaza San Blaz. Breakfast is included in the price. I had an electric shower in my room which was not working (and I have experience with both electrical showers and electrical engineering). Sleeping was well, the area is quiet during the night. When entering the building after midnight, some of the staff will have to open the doors for you (usualy its enough to ring once). They accept credit cards, they offer taxi service if needed (always negotiate the amount and currency in advance) and they will take care of your luggage for the rest of the day, if you check out in the morning. Free WiFi is available...
