Not quite sure of prices in Cusco generally as they seem to vary in extremes and the constant barrage of agency touts means you never really know if you are paying the right price but compared to the other 5 cities we have visited in Peru (including miraflores Lima) this place is a rip off. ||It is clean, I'll give it that. But otherwise extremely basic apart from the tiny TV which has cable. ||It does include breakfast which has cereal and a few bits of cheap cheese and Bologna - not just dry bread and coffee. The breakfast is until 9. They clear it away at about 8:50 after which you don't even get a bit of bread off the numerous staff standing around the breakfast area eating what's left of Bologna, cheese and bread. ||The wifi is terrible but enough to send messages and read Facebook. ||The staff are appalling. If they dain to speak to you, which doesn't happen often, it will only be to utter some unhelpful inanity such as: we can't make phone calls to the agent who brought you here and paid for hotel because the hotel phone doesn't have credit, or: I wouldn't know to tell you the hotel address because no one has ever wanted delivery. ||The location is passable if you want somewhere central and you'll sleep ok. The water is hot if you leave it running for 10 mins. If you are desperate then it'll be fine but otherwise...
Read moreThe hotel was average with nothing to really make it stand out. The hotel allows one free taxi to pick you up or drop you off. I called to arrange for a pick up at the bus depot but the taxi never arrived. Apparently, lack of communication was to blame. Luckily I did receive the free taxi to drop me off at the airport. The following are a few important points to know about the hotel.||-No elevator, if you have heavy luggage be prepared to carry them up the stairs.||-Breakfast includes: fruits, bread, yogurt, coffee, tea, ham, cheese. *If you request eggs please be advised that upon your departure you will be charged S./3 per egg consumed.||-WiFi is excellent, was able to use FaceTime and my room was located on the 3rd floor||-Location is close to dead end of street. Walking to Plaza de Armas is easy since its downhill. Walking back may be difficult for some due to the uphill walk along with altitude.||-No charge for printing. Was able to print flight tickets at no charge.||-Hot water! Awesome to say the least.||-Room with balcony was nice. Since there is very little street traffic, no real loud noise to wake you. ||-Laundry service offered. Better to walk down the street to use another service...
