This is a great location. Just blocks from the main square. We went during parades and many set up and practiced on this street. We were on the first floor. I did have hot water every day and even decided to use it overnight to help warm up before bed and add much needed moisture to the room. There are stairs to go upstairs, so I would agree with the guests that heavy luggage may be an issue.

The hotel had someone to help in English. They were very helpful and really wanted to be sure guests' needs were met. Ask if you need anything. If they can, they will help. We had advice on places to go see and eat. She even drew out a note for us about the city tour.

They have a nice spread for breakfast, egg, bread, cheese, meat, and fruits. There was tea and coffee. All day, they had hot water for more tea and even a dispenser in the lobby area outside my room. The front desk sold bottled water for a reasonable price.

The dining room was not busy but we ate in one night and the prices were good and the food was abundant and delicious. Freshly made with local dishes. I am not sure if they allow outside tourists to eat here, but I would recommend eating here over the restaurant across the street! Limited menu but better prices!

I did find the room was warmer when we covered the bathroom window with a towel overnight and placed something at the bottom of the door for the draft. Again, running a warm shower at night really helped with warming the room and keeping some moisture in the dry climate.

Across the street is club Maximo. They have beautiful fountains and a nice space to walk and rest. The picture of my room was taken from other reviews, but it looks the same. 1

As someone else said.... the furniture is not new... but that is the vibe. Pictures of saints on the walls and amazing, well loved pieces. Modern furniture just wouldn't fit the decor!

For safety, the front door is locked regularly. You have to walk past the desk and dining room to get to the hotel rooms. But the room has only the door lock, no extra locks. There is no safe in the room, but they will give you one if you ask. So you do have to press the call button to get inside. They are fast to respond.

The internet was good the first day but went out and didn't work after. The TV is typical for hotels but we couldn't connect too much. Netflix did not allow us to log in, and there was a free trial for a mirror app. But we decided to watch YouTube.

Okay, the worst part. We went in June. Winter. It is drafty! So be prepared to wear your warmest clothes after dark when temperatures drop. The building has an open space plan, so outside your room is like being outside. But under cover... so layers of clothes for the day because it gets warmer, so you only need...

Really lovely hotel! After moving to my third accommodation in Cusco, I came across this hotel on foot which is a 3 min walk from the main Plaza.||Given its location, the hotel is truly scenic and the courtyard gives a lovely quiet vibe. This is a 3 star, so note that the rooms are a bit tired and pictures definitely show it as more modern than it is. It is generally quiet however there is a very loud barking dog in the roof which kept me up the first night. I asked for them to move the dog but this wasn’t done, not sure why a dog lives on the roof of a hotel..?||However, I must say there is ample hot water which is a rarity in Cusco! The staff are super helpful in arranging laundry, early check out and any other queries I had.||A minor point but I wasn’t told that I could have a breakfast bag to go when leaving at 3/4am for early hikes - I asked for one on my last day and sadly it did not have a sandwich, just two tiny bananas and a tangerine.||For the price, the hotel is decent and hot water is the key...

We stayed here for 4 nights on a trip to Cusco and surroundings. We had a 2+1+1 night itinerary as we were out of Cusco for some nights in between and as a result stayed in 3 separate rooms. ||The breakfast which we had once, was very good with many options. The local bread is great.||We used the laundry service and luggage storage which was efficient.||Location is good and convenient for many shops and eating places.||Each room was very different- first was like a freezer and the hot water in the bathroom took ages to heat up. Second room was comfortable but the bathroom had not a single hook to hang anything not even a towel - weird. Third room was the best with everything working.||We asked them to arrange a taxi to drop us to the airport at 0530hrs on our last morning which they said they’d do. When we got to the front desk at 0530 they hadn’t a clue and called the taxi only then, and it turned up after 15 mins. ||Overall communication is not their strong point. I would not...

If the rooms could get 0 stars, that's what I'd give. The rooms were freezing, humid, with mold on the walls, broken rails in the bathrooms, duvets with no covers. Unacceptable conditions for one to live in. The lady at the front desk was very kind and always greeted us with a smile. However this was not enough to make the living situation tolerable. Outdoor area was pretty. If they had spent half the money they spent in the waiting area, ensuring the rooms were in good conditions this would be a pretty nice hotel to stay in. Would not recommend.

Pluses: Very good location, only few minutes from Plaza Mayor; friendly owner and staff; guest seating areas and the covered courtyard. Minuses: Room I stayed in required major renovation--crumbling walls & barely usable bathroom with broken toilet; noise from nearby bars or clubs until 2:30am. Recommend: Inspect room before checking in (as it may not look like the website pictures); bring earplugs for the noises.
