Spend slightly more and go somewhere decent. ||If you come in during a slow season, meaning any months other than June-July-August, (during the time of local festivals) , expect an extremely incompetent service.||Management is to be blamed because there is only one person managing the hotel, especially in the evening times. Impossible. You need an adequate staffing to cover the front and others to perform other duties. ||Incompetent and careless services:||1) No hot water in the room where we stayed. They had to switch us to another room. ||2) At night due to altitude sickness, I woke up at 3am with a headache and fatigue. I tried calling for water and went to the front desk, nobody answered. Not until 2 hours later. No oxygen provided. ||3) Time for breakfast was scheduled from 6-9am. We arrived at 640am and there was nothing there. It took a phone complaint to rectify the problem. ||4) Cold room, rock-hard bed. We had to request for a heater, and you know it, it didn't work. We had to exchange for another heater, though it still didn't warm up the small room we were staying. ||5) No privacy. If you value your privacy, beware that above the door there was a clear tiny window to allow for corridor light to come in. Someone could easily peek into the room from the second floor. The curtains do not close well, and the clear window cannot be opened or closed. ||This is not a 3 star hotel. This is more like a 1 star hostel than a hotel. The only good thing is the beautiful traditional decorations and paintings, especially in the...
Read moreWe stayed a total of 3 nights in this hotel.
1 - No heating, you have to ask for them to bring up a heater to your room.
2 - The WiFi was horrible. Worked maybe once every few hours.
3 - Breakfast was tasteless. Their options were limited. The cheese they offered tasted like rubber.
4 - There was MOLD. I repeat, MOLD on the shower heads. The showers also took forever to heat up, and once they did, they burned you. There were windows looking into the bathrooms so people could literally stare at you from the outside.
5 - You could hear every outside noise while in the bedrooms.
6 - No natural light in the rooms because there were no windows.
7 - The towels had holes in them.
I only have 2 positive things to say about this place:
1 - Location, it is right next to Plaza de las Armas (which is the Plaza Mayor). Literally a one minute walk. Which is fantastic.
2 - The Staff. They were super nice and welcoming, ready to help us...
Read moreWe booked three rooms at this hotel for a July visit to Cusco. The reservations were made in April and reconfirmed in June and again several days prior to our arrival in Cusco on July 16. When we arrived, we were told that the hotel was fully booked and that they did not have a record of our reservations. When I asked them to check any emails from me, they did. The reservations were there, but the receptionist repeated that they had no rooms and that it wasn't their problem. No apology, no offer to help resolve the problem, just "it is not our problem." Fortunatley wee found a much nicer hotel several blocks away and we had a wonderful...
