I checked into this hostel near to the main center because i had a lot of shopping to do. I also wanted my friends to be able to come and see me before leaving Cusco living there for 2 years. I had one friend who came to my room and on our way out an old man with a miserable looking unshaven old man sitting next to the check in desk started to yell and the girl I was with.||||The started to exchange words and at one point I heard him use the word 'prostitute'||||He must have been under the impression that the girl due to her Peruvian looks was there to give her service. I quickly run upstairs and packed my belongings then asked for a full and immediate refund.||||I was give a little over half the money back. ||||The hostel itself is quite dirty but the rooms themselves appeared to be clean with some of them given a moldy smell. Read moreWhen we first arrived we had no hot water. Turns out the guests before us turned the water pressure up which meant hot water did not work. Hot water only works with very low pressure. Read moreThis hostal is just 1/2 block from the Plaza de Armas so it's location cannot be beat. There is nothing fancy about the hostal, but the rooms are adequate. The bed is firm, there is a flat screen TV in each room, and strong, reliable WiFi. The rooms can be dark, since all windows face the interior corridor, but that means it is very quiet at night despite it's central location. The bathrooms are small but adequate, the shower has warm to hot water. Breakfast is served on the top floor, again, nothing fancy, bread, jam, juice, coffee or tea, eggs. The young staff are all eager to please. So if you just need a place that is safe, comfortable, with WiFi and private bath with nothing fancy but with a very central location, this would be a...
