Casa de Mama Cusco — Hotel in Distrito de Cusco

We stayed for 10 nights in 2 mini apartments with kitchenette. ||The apartment is in the San Blas area of Cusco which is very convenient for the historical sights and centre of Cusco as well as the cafes and restaurants. San Blas is a bit up the hill and the apartment is up a flight of stairs. Not too much of a problem but the altitude will have you huffing and puffing! The complex only has a few apartments, and is quite quaint. Some of the apartments have lovely city views. Generally it is quiet but other guests could be more considerate in the communal areas. Perhaps a polite sign would help with this. There can be a little noise from the steps outside. ||The apartments are compact but they have adequate kitchen facilities and a fridge. We enjoyed being able to self cater part of the time. The decor and the facilities are quite worn but things are clean and characteristic. There is hot water all day, it can have some issues like most of Cusco but it gets sorted out quickly. If the water is not hot enough ask them to adjust it, people from Cusco are used to colder showers than us foreigners! There is an electric heater and lots of blankets to keep you warm. ||Even though the apartments have kitchenettes, breakfast is included in the price and is taken in the small dining room at the top of the complex over looking the city. It's a very generous spread of fresh fruit, fresh juice, bread and homemade jam, eggs and hot drinks like coca tea. ||The lady who looks after the apartments is called Carmen, she doesn't speak much English but she is incredibly kind and helpful. Нам повезло поселиться в Casa de Mama на живописной улице Atocsaycuhi! Это тихое уютное место находится очень близко от центральной части города. Буквально на каждой маленькой улочке можно остановиться и рисовать! прекрасные виды! Атмосфера потрясающая! Если идти вверх по улице, подняться по лестнице, можно дойти до Saksaywaman, одной из главных достопримечательностей Cusco. Путь очень красивый, наверху открываются зеленые просторы, где можно встретить пасущихся лам, колоритных местных жителей. В самом отеле Casa de Mama также очень красиво и мило, очень-очень душевно! Замечательный уютный внутренний дворик с красивыми растениями. Интересная архитектура здания, комнаты "стремятся вверх", во дворике растёт дерево, всё сделано и спроектировано очень органично и со вкусом. Мы поселились на верхнем этаже в комнате Leo и провели несколько незабываемых дней там! Как только вошли в номер - были в полном восторге и почувствовали себя безгранично счастливыми! Интерьер выполнен с легким национальным колоритом. Из окон открывается вид на город. Приятно там засыпать и просыпаться по-соседству с порхающими колибри! В комнате есть всё необходимое - отдельный душ, туалет, шкаф и тумбочки, плита, столовые приборы, холодильник , микроволновая печь, - если нужно, можно готовить еду. В номере всегда было очень чисто! Сеньора Carmen готовит вкусный завтрак каждое утро: наш любимый сок, ароматный кофе, мягкие свежие булочки с джемом и маслом, омлет или яичница приготовлена как пожелаете (завтрак включен в стоимость проживания). Помещение, где проходит завтрак, залито утренним солнцем, почти полностью состоит из окон. Вид оттуда потрясающий - Cusco на фоне гор и бесконечное небо! Прекрасное начало дня! Сеньора Carmen добрая, улыбчивая и очень любезная, её всегда легко найти весь день и она всегда готова помочь. || Отдельно хочется сказать о хозяйке отеля, сеньоре Mercedes. Она очень образованный, культурный, и очень душевный человек! Она настоящий профессионал - всё организовано очень хорошо, нас встретили в аэропорту, потом привезли в отель, сеньора Mercedes нас сразу сама встретила, напоила чаем из листьев коки (помогает от горной болезни), общалась с нами на английском и испанском языках.(кроме того, она знает французский и немецкий). Языки мы знаем не очень хорошо, но нам было легко с ней говорить, потому что сеньора Mercedes всегда старается, чтобы мы хорошо понимали и общались. Она отлично знает свой город и многое нам рассказала, помогла с заказом экскурсий и поездкой в Machu Picchu (мы остановились в её отеле в городе Ollantaytambo, смотрели город и утром оттуда поехали на поезде в Machu Picchu, очень удобно!) ||Было тяжело прощаться с сеньора Mercedes, она замечательная, и мы успели её полюбить! Это было незабываемое путешествие, мы как будто открыли новый мир в Cusco.
