Inkas Machupicchu Inn — Hotel in Distrito de Cusco

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. They don't hold reservations, it is dirty, and they are careless. We stayed there on a Wednesday night during the winter. The room was freezing and there was no hot water. We made the mistake of having them schedule our bus to Hidroelectrica. Come Friday we we had no one to pick us up at our scheduled time. When we arrived that night they told us that they didn't have our reservation that night or the next. While we waited they gave keys to two families that arrived even after us. We had to make last minute reservations for another hotel at 11pm and change pickup for a tour the next day. Nothing short of a nightmare. Stay at Aneres al cielo like we ended up doing in the end. BEWARE - THEY WILL NOT HOLD YOUR RESERVATION. I would love to be able to tell you about this hotel, but they did NOT hold our reservation. We arrived after a long walk from the taxi drop-off with heavy backpacks, and the man at the front desk scrambled to find our reservation. When he finally found my name, he said he'd have to take us to a different hotel that was "the same." We were taken about 2 blocks away to a pretty gross place with a room with 4 beds and no hot water. Poor service. They did not keep our reservation, despite arriving at the agreed time for check in (around 1:30pm). They said they were full and sent us another building 10 minutes away. This building was clearly not ready for guests (covered in dust, ongoing maintenance). TV in room did not work, cupboard had no door handles or hangers.
