Summit Viewpoint House San Blas — Hotel in Distrito de Cusco

I will never forget how kind Alejandro is! He is the passionate, proud owner and helped us tremendously. Unfortunately, booking.com caused us some problems. If using them, make sure to confirm your stay with the hostel!! We didn’t do this and therefore there was a mix up and not a room available. We arrived at night and Alejandro was genuinely apologetic. This has happened to him multiple times and is a problem on the websites end. Despite the mix up, he went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay elsewhere that night. Finding us other accommodations as well as getting our luggage there. He even brought back a water bottle I forgot! The hostel is in a great part of town, a little less touristy and slightly on a hill. It has beautiful views. I am excited to go back and stay next time. My friends and I only stayed a night at Summit Viewpoint House but we wish we had booked for longer. The location is about an 8-10 minute walk from the city center of Plaza de Armas.

As other people already mentioned, there are stairs to conquer to get to his place but you’ll be rewarded with amazing views from the workout. We loved hanging out at his rooftop which not only featured a stunning view but also a hammock and other comfortable seating.

Alejandro was great about giving us restaurant and shopping recommendations. He even gave us a personal guided walking tour through the San Blas neighborhood. I had a great experience staying at this hotel — it’s truly one of the best in Cusco. The property is exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained, and offers stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains. The hotel has to offer a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

One of the highlights of my stay was the outstanding hospitality provided by Alejandro, the owner. He goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels at home and enjoys their time in Cusco. His friendly attitude and recommendations made a huge difference.
