Our recent three-day stay at Design Cave in Cappadocia was truly exceptional, largely thanks to the incredible team there. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that everyone, and the entire staff, poured their hearts into making sure the kids were happy and our family had a fantastic experience. Their dedication was evident in every interaction.
The team went above and beyond to assist us. We had several requests, including a plea to help find a lost necklace, and they tackled each one with immense passion and commitment until it was resolved. Their genuine desire to help was heartwarming. They were also particularly keen in arranging everything we needed, from airport transfers to other attractions, making our trip seamless.
Beyond the daily comforts, their care truly shone when our hot air balloon flights were canceled back-to-back. The staff at Design Cave were incredibly gracious, watching out for us and diligently working to find us an alternative flight at a good price. Their proactive support during a stressful situation was invaluable and allowed us to continue enjoying our trip.
The hotel itself is a gem. The rooms are incredibly unique and spacious, offering a comfortable and memorable stay. Its prime location means everything you could want in Cappadocia is easily accessible. We especially appreciated their excellent connections with local attractions and businesses, which led us to an awesome Turkish bath experience nearby – a perfect recommendation!
We extend our deepest gratitude to Sam and the entire team who took such wonderful care of our family. We highly recommend trusting and working with them to get your vacation planned in Cappadocia; you will receive quality service and the experience will be awesome. We absolutely can't wait to return to Design Cave, not just for the beautiful setting, but more importantly, for the incredible people who made our stay so special. We wish them all...
Read moreWe stayed here for one night and overall, enjoyed the experience. Sam, who works at the hotel on reception, had been very helpful before our stay with various things, which we appreciated, and he was very welcoming when we arrived.|We had a "cave" room downstairs which was very big and very comfortable. The lighting was a little dim for my liking but otherwise the room was very pleasant and attractively furnished.||Breakfast was quite good although we were surprised to find how late it started - 8.30 I think. Given that quite a few people, including us, were up on the rooftop by 6am to see the balloons at sunrise - or doing a hot air balloon ride - an earlier start to breakfast would have been appreciated.||We were a little disappointed in the rooftop area. One of us had stayed here before at the same time of year and said the area was more attractive with a whole load of flowers in planter pots on the rooftop. The rooftop area felt a little rundown to be honest and not looked after.||The hotel advertises a Turkish dinner and dancing evening at a nearby restaurant, which we attended. This cost 60 Euro each. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The food was very average -there were mezes and a just-ok main course only, no dessert. The dancers were quite good but the evening dragged on too long. We did not think it worth 60 euros each and could not recommend this.||I would recommend the hotel though to anyone staying in Goreme which is a lovely (if very touristy and rather pricey) town in the heart of Cappadocia. Our second and third night we stayed in another town and wished we had stayed longer in Goreme instead ,even though our second...
Read moreOur family of four really enjoyed our week stay at the Design Hotel in Cappadocia. The hotel ground is beautiful and is the perfect spot to view the famous balloons in the morning (I literally could see them right outside my door but the roof terrace is the best spot). The location is excellent - right next to the national park and also away from the busy part of the town (but not too far to walk). The room was comfortable and cozy. It's not sound proof but we were able to sleep ok.
The best part of our stay was definitely the service. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The staff helped us organise all of the activities while we were in Cappadocia both before and after we arrived. They gave excellent recommendations and helped us plan itineraries.
Special shoutout to Yakub who was both our concierge and tour guide for two full days. He planned well-balance days to include sightseeing of key highlights of Cappadocia and also fun activities such as pottery and shop visits that our children (10 and 12) really enjoyed. He's extremely patient with the kids and they had a lot of fun and learned a lot from him at the same time. We really enjoyed how Yakub guided us - he always gave us interesting information about the places we visited; but never too much or too little.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will recommend the Design Hotel and Yakub to our friends and family. We look forward to come back here again...
