We stayed here June 24-27. The check in process was seamless. We received an email stating that our room was available early, so we checked in online and went to the hotel to pick up our keys. Upon arrival, the front desk staff gave us our keys along with a list of restaurants that were within walking distance. She also made sure to let us know that if we needed recommendations or anything to not hesitate to ask.

Upon settling into our room, we realized there were no sheets or pillows provided for the sofa bed so we had to get that. Once we got them, there was a large hole in one of the sheets so we got them replaced the next day. In addition to not being provided sheets for the sofa bed until we asked, there was only one robe and one set of slippers so I had to ask for a second robe although we indicated that there would be 2 adults and 2 small children (2 and infant) on the reservation.

We left the hotel every morning to explore the area and dine. Each night we returned, house keeping failed to come through and give fresh towels or empty trash even though we did NOT have a DND sign up. Thus, we had to ask for fresh towels everyday.

We went to the indoor swimming pool once. We were under the impression that it would be heated but it wasn’t. Heated was a big reason we chose this hotel because of our little ones not being a fan of cold water. It was as if the note chose not to turn the heat for the pool on.

The hotel was pretty clean (even though some of the carpet on my floor could use a good shampooing) and in a prime location, within walking distance to a plethora of restaurants and tourist attractions. Free parking garage and in a conveniently located garage directly next to the hotel. There was plenty of parking, however, the parking garage was shared with monthly paying customers and retail customers.

I really didn’t like that the housekeeping staff didn’t replace our towels and that the room didn’t come with everything we needed upon arrival. So either the housekeeping staff receive subpar training or the housekeeping policy is subpar and needs to be updated. Each day we left, I asked the front desk to have housekeeping stop by our room to empty the trash and give fresh towels, yet each evening I returned, the pile of dirty towels was still there and no new towels had been brought by. This was disappointing. Management needs to address this because I’ve never experienced this at any other hotel. I have to deduct one star because of this.

They didn’t offer room service or breakfast. They had a small snack bar with a few snacks and small items available for purchase. They had a decent size fitness center with a variety of equipment that we didn’t take advantage of because we brought our little ones. The hotel is pet friendly.

All in all, it was fine and a good place to stay if you want to be within walking distance to a lot of things. The staff was friendly. No rudeness experienced during my stay. The housekeeping policy definitely needs to be updated or something though that’s for sure. Each room should have exactly what guests need upon arrival and towels should be replaced daily unless the guest opts out of that.

Please give me a thumbs up if you find my...

Not impressed with this hotel at all. Just spent 5 days there, after coming to town to spend 2 days at the Georgia Aquarium. The location was perfect for that, right across the street! That was part of why we stayed there, but that was about all the "good" we experienced there.|| They have 3 elevators, yet one never moved in 5 days. Then you had to wait 5-10mins for one of the other 2 to finally come, only to stop at each floor in between. Or staff would get on, ride one floor up and get off...holding up all the of paying customers! We tried to use the stairs after a 15min wait one day, only to discover they were locked and for "staff only". So if there is a fire, what do guests do?! ||We had to ask for maid service on the morning of our 3rd day finally, we were out of towels and the trash was overflowing at that point. One morning, the maid opened the door, saw we were still there and said "whoops" and quickly left...she never came back that day. We had maid service twice in the 5 days we were there. One day at the pool, the towels were all gone and it took 4 phone calls and 30mins to get new ones.|| Also, when I bought the package deal for our stay, a continental breakfast was included each morning....10 days after I booked the trip, the hotel changed that and now charge $11 per person for a breakfast that would be free at a motel. We did try it the first morning since we didn't have a back-up plan (no one notified us prior to our stay and/or checking in this was the new policy) and it was awful....few selections, wasn't hot or fresh, and overall taste was horrible. There was a small selection of food/drinks available for purchase in the lobby, but it was overpriced and the fruit I tried one night was half rotten.||The staff was very helpful with questions and always had good suggestions for local favs. We did enjoy the staff, for sure! We tried to tip a few of them, only to be told they couldn't except them. One gentleman on the nights was great! They did let us leave our luggage there since our flight arrived 4hrs before check-in was allowed...then again, after we checked out, they let us leave our bags until we headed to the airport a few hours later. We appreciated that a lot! ||The room had a great view, we were on the 10th floor (out of 11 floors) and faced the aquarium, which was fun for my 10yr old niece. The room had 2 queen size beds and a couch that pulled out into a bed as well. It was plenty of space for 3 adults and 1 kid. The bed were nice and soft, the view was beautiful at night and the...

When pulling up to the hotel it would be nice if a clearer sign was out front on parking or going inside to check in, which was first and what is preferred to make the check in process smoother. When we were there, there was only 1 elevator working at the time, which was disastrous, I understand that things break which is life. But the fact that the stairs were off limit on going up and down the stairs made waiting a very long time going up and down the elevator. ||||When staying at this Hotel make sure you read the print about parking your car and the cost associated with it. When did not know about it until we pulled up day of, so while fault of ours for not reading, i wish it had been advertised more so we came more prepared. ||||Breakfast is very under par, do not come thinking its a super wonderful breakfast and even though it says til 9, dont go passed 830. We got there one morning at 830 and the majority of the breakfast items had already been put away. ||||This is a cashless Hotel, so when you are ordering drinks at the bar or grabbing something from the snack section you will use your card. But its ok, you can just tell them somebody else's room number because they do not check. We had $300 charged to our room where somebody else ate and drank on our time. I do not understand why you would not check somebodys card and see to make sure what room they are in. Once we got it corrected, they told us that it happens all the time. If it happens all the time then you need to scan a card or check the actual room # for who stays in that room.||||Pro: this hotel is RIGHT beside the aquarium and the street its located on had low traffic. It has a Rocks Chicken and Fries and a Johnny Rockets right beside the hotel incase you dont...

Disappointing Stay Amid Early-Morning Construction Noise I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place Atlanta at Centennial Park for three nights during a major trade show, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend the property in its current state. While I understand the hotel has no control over the high-rise construction next door, their response to the situation was underwhelming and ultimately left me with disrupted sleep throughout my stay. Beginning on my first morning, construction noise started as early as 4:00–5:00 AM. Loud banging, drilling, and other disruptive sounds made it nearly impossible to rest. On the second night, I approached the front desk about my concerns and received an initial apology—but the only immediate “solution” offered was earbuds. Given the extent of the noise, this fell far short of providing any real relief. I was told they would follow up with a manager, yet no further action was taken for the remainder of my stay. While the staff were polite in acknowledging the issue, the hotel did not provide any effective remedy or even a change of room to a quieter location—if such an option existed. If you have business in the area or are simply looking for a restful stay, be aware of the ongoing construction and its potential impact. Until the high-rise project next door is complete, I would advise considering alternative accommodations. I truly wanted to enjoy my time at Hyatt Place Atlanta at Centennial Park, but the lack of a meaningful resolution to the noise issue overshadowed what could have otherwise been a pleasant hotel experience.

Location was great for aquarium visit. The young lady that checked us in was very nice and helpful, and she was the only person in the lobby working the check in desk, phones, the bar, as well as taking last minute food orders at close to 8 pm on a Friday night, so there were several people having to wait for different things. She was very professional and kind, but needed some help. That’s too much for one employee to handle, especially on a weekend. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name, because she did a great job! The parking staff were also very kind and helpful. Room was nice. 9th floor. View of the city was beautiful! No microwave in room. If you book through a third party such as Booking or Trivago, they say (at least during the time I was comparing prices) that parking is $35 daily and free breakfast. Not so. Parking is $60 a day and breakfast is $11 pp for most. However, on their actual website, it does show the correct price for each, so my bad for not looking there first. At any rate, if you’re wanting a hot breakfast, I do not recommend. The cereal, bagel, and coffee were fine, but the items that were supposed to be hot, were not good, not that hot. Floppy sausage. No grits, bacon, or biscuits. Not at all worth $11 pp. We stayed Fri-Sun and at times, only one of the 3 elevators were working. Would I stay here again? Yes. The service we had was excellent, they were just understaffed for the weekend traffic. But, improvement could definitely be made in a few areas.
