I recently visited Stats as part of a medium sized party - 5 to 6 people. We were seated quickly, but that was about the only nice thing during our visit. We were judged from the get-go and it lead to a terrible night. Let me provide some context - I was in town for an event. We were definitely dressed down for dinner, and we’re young, but this was still a group of professional adults who know how to behave themselves in a restaurant and frankly, I think we were great guests. The first problem was splitting the check. Asked the waitress from the beginning for a split check. She flatly told us, “We can’t do that. I mean, I can ask my manager, but we’ve had some issues with splitting checks to it’s policy not to.” The manager looks at us and refuses. Okay, fine, we’ll figure it out.We move on to ordering. The waitress was hardly seen. The man who had been pointed out as the manager was taking some of our drink orders - and those drinks took forever to get there. One of our people took roughly half an hour to finally see some kind of drink, and it was only a soda. Another waited about the same amount of time for a bottle of beer. While we’re waiting for everything, some of us catch the waitress rolling her eyes at us. I got some dirty looks - why, I have no idea. She honestly had an air about her the entire night, and was not shy about giving us attitude. I guess it goes back to us being judged from the moment we walked in.Anyway. We get our food, despite painfully slow service. Fast forward to the check. I volunteered to take the responsibility of manually splitting the check among my party - something I should have NEVER had to do. That is THEIR job, and I as a customer should not have to waste my time doing it. Splitting the check with pen and paper was taking a while, so two of my friends get up to smoke - leaving their credit cards with me so I could go ahead and take care of the bill. A few seconds later (it’s important to note, these moments were filled with more dirty looks from the waitress), security approaches them outside and makes sure they’re coming back in. While this is going on, a police officer with a light scans over our table and stares us down. This place had treated us so badly from the beginning for a reason - and they pounced on us so quickly - they thought we were going to run out on them. Unbelievable. I pride myself on being great to my customers in my profession - and that very much includes NEVER judging them right off the bat! I finally manage to sort out our check and hand over all of the cards for everyone to pay, our group comes back, and closing up our dinner took forever (but at this point, that was no surprise.)It does get a little better (read: worse) from here. You see, most of the customers at Stats that night were from our event. I had one person from a table of 9 tell me that their check was split automatically, no questions asked, no problem. This once again points to them judging us from the beginning, the whole “no splitting checks” thing is obviously bull if they did it for a party larger than ours. I also heard from another group of diners that they were double charged and then told their charges couldn't be voided, and were given gift cards instead - which is illegal!I sincerely hope Stats realizes that they treated a lot of professionals very badly that evening, and word is spreading.
I will not be back - and I have warned everyone I saw here looking for a place to eat - don’t waste your...
Read moreWow! I was thoroughly impressed with my most recent visit here. I have been a patron of this restaurant for years (pre-pandemic), and it had become so popular, that the service began to suffer. I was nervous after attending an event at the arena to give Stats another try, but I am so happy that I did. I am not sure if the management has changed since the pandemic or what, but they have raised the bar significantly.
Upon entry we were greeted with kind smiles and welcomed into the restaurant, which never used to happened when the restaurant gained popularity some years back. The hostess kindly guided us to some seating, and asked if we were happy with the choice. We chose to sit at the bar because there were some games playing. We were immediately greeted by Ryan at the bar who was absolutely amazing, attentive, engaging, and upbeat. There was another person (forgot his name) who was working the bar with Ryan who was absolutely hilarious, observant, and amazing as well. The food was fresh, the fries were hot, and the bubbles were effervescent. I am so happy that I gave this restaurant another chance because they blew my expectations from all previous visits out of the water. Keep up the...
Read moreI saw Stats on a show about places to eat in Atlanta and it talked about how fantastic it was so when we came down to the new Mercedes Benz stadium we decided to try it out. First I should have known when they weren't very busy... They have a very limited menu. They do have a couple of good beers on tap. The service was pretty bad. The server had already spilled part of my beer on the tray on the way over then she sat it down in front of my daughter and sloshed a bit on the table but then moved it over to me leaving a trail across the table, menus, straws, napkins, etc. After we all finally decided on something off the small menu, it was a little while before we saw her again. The food was OK but definitely not anything special. When it came time to pay, we had to flag the server down but before she could finish ringing up our tab, two other people brought their tickets to her at the register. I guess they got tired of waiting for her to come pick them up... Guess we will mark Stats of our list. Maybe it's just more bar than restaraunt. They have some tables with pull your own draft taps at the tables, which is a pretty neat idea but it may be making the staff a...
