So I decide to get Lucian a cookie cake for his birthday celebration at shool tomorrow (his birthday is over the summer so they do a little something for summer birthdays the last week of school). I call the Great American Cookies right across the street from the Aquarium. I tell them I need their smallest cake for 10 Kindergarteners. She asked me the kids name and what colors I'd like on the cake. I tell her the name and to just do primary colors. She tells me it'll be ready by 1:30. I call at 1:15 and she tells me it just went in the oven. I give them until 4:15. I pop across the street real fast to pick it up. I'm greeted with a sign saying be back in 15 minutes . After waiting over 20 minutes, TWO girls show up. Both of you had to go to lunch at the same time and shut down your business???? Anyways, I get inside, get my cake and it literally just said "Happy Birthday "name" in brown and orange only. The most boring cake ever. No decorations, no nothing. Why did she ask me what colors if I was only going to get orange-not even a primary color BTW. I say, that's it for $30? Yeah, $30!!!! She goes, "oh do you want me to decorate it more? We have all these options" and she shows me a book of decorations. Ummm, it's almost 5:00 now. I told you this was for a kids birthday when I called at 11 am. No, sorry, gotta go. They couldn't even cross the T in orange!!! I am not thrilled. Not at all. I work at the Aquarium and we mostly get good service from them and I even mentioned where I work but they put in the minimal amount of effort for a $30 cake. Disappointing experience to...
Read moreCame here at 8:45 PM 11/14 to simply buy a couple of cookies and be on our way back to our hotel. As soon as we come in the employee told us that they were closed and that he just got done counting all the cash. Keep in mind the doors were open, the open sign was on, the lights were on, and this location is supposed to close at 9 PM. He didn't want to be bothered doing his job. I pulled my phone out to double check the time and sure enough it was 8:45. I told the employee what time it was because apparently he didn't know, I said poor service, and we left disappointed. (1 Star)

After reaching out to corporate's Twitter and writing my original 1 star review, I was contacted by the owner of this franchised location within 48 hours. The owner wrote a custom email (not generic like a lot of places do) that was professional, courteous, and took responsibility for his employee's poor service. After reading the owner's email about how he wanted to make it right, we decided to visit a second time. The two employees that were there were friendly and it was a completely different experience. We left happy, the owner kept his word and made it right. We ended up getting a great deal as we bought 5 cookies and got 2 for free. The total was about $9.50 after tax, a great deal for 7 delicious cookies! We left happy and if we are ever in the area again we will be back to this...

Thank you again……..1/15/2025 Thank you for ruining my birthday!!!! I was so excited to redeem my reward for my free slice that I came all the way from the airport area to your location in traffic. Only to get to the counter have my coupon rung up and to be charged for the slice that was suppose to be free. I asked the clerk to call the manager or the owner since he clearly saw that I was supposed to receive the free slice. He refused to help even when I told him it was my birthday. I also told him how far I came and that I also paid for parking outside of their establishment. And since he scanned my coupon, I could no longer use it anywhere else so I couldn’t go to another location . I am highly disappointed because I come to this location quite often because I deliver in the area. If this is how you treat your loyalty customers I pray for the ones who aren’t.
