I've always heard this was popular place for milkshakes. I was prepared to wait in a line. What I was not prepared for was to pay for parking directly across the street and not be allowed to use the establishments restroom. Future patrons know you will need to pay for parking unless you happened to be in a parking garage included with an overnight stay and parking may be higher depending on special events happening in the area.
Did not get to try the product as I was turned away when attempting to make my way to the bathroom. I was told I had to get a bathroom code that's on the bottom of a receipt. Now mind you I was attempting to leave my mother and kids in line to wait to be served as I attended to my immediate restroom needs. I had an urgent bathroom matter as I have a medical condition. I had no problem purchasing a product but needed to use the restroom ASAP. Let me reiterate that we were in the line but it was so extremely long we thought we could use the restroom as we waited in line. Incorrect.
Sadly, I will not be back as this was once in a lifetime last visit on our Georgia to do list before moving away 700 miles. This was a very disheartening experience not be allowed to use the restroom. If your establishment is so popular you need to reconsider operations procedures. There are medical conditions that require the use of the restroom and sometimes waiting prolonged is not in the best interests. There’s also usually lots of families visiting all the tourist locations nearby. Hope no little tots need to use it. So sad I will never experience this...
Read moreNever been treated so poorly by staff members at a sweet treat establishment. I came here for edible cookie dough rather than a full out milkshake to get in and out with an after dinner dessert. Surprisingly there was no line when I entered so I went straight to the register (the cookie dough sits right here as well). The lady at the register was not helpful at all with this being my first time here. I was trying to figure out the difference in cost per cup size and how many scoops you get per cup but she just stared at me like I was dumb. Once we got past this issue I requested to test a flavor. Her response was that they were too busy at this time so weren’t providing samples. I turned around to check the line behind me. There still wasn’t one. After completing my order another employee came up to me and said I needed to wait outside since it was a to-go order. Did I mention it’s 35 degrees outside with a wind chill? Obviously I’m not waiting outside when there’s 2 open tables! I decide to respond with “I just ordered cookie dough so it should only take about 15 seconds to scoop in a cup with the lady at the register not seeing anyone else so I’ll wait inside until then.” She replies it will be at least 15 minutes because they serve in the order of purchase. This is beyond ridiculous when you have available staff doing nothing and the rest are tied up making milkshakes that take 5+ minutes each to build. I was very interested to try a milkshake in the future but I don’t think I want to support a business that treats their customers...
Read moreCome for the Gram-able photos and reels. Stay for the delicious milkshakes that lives up to the hype.
Surprisingly the lines move pretty quickly so no worries even if you see a long line outside. The milkshakes were really delicious and definitely worth the experience - oftentimes when you see these fancy places, it's all for the looks and the taste does not live up to expectations - but I am telling you the taste is there too. Does it live up to the price? I don't think so but hey, you'll get great photos and it's tasty so might as well try it once right? For reference - I got a customize your own with peanut butter and brownie ice cream, cookie butter drizzle, peanut butter iced jar with crushed oreos and a brownie on top. (The only thing I wouldn't get again is the Brownie - too decadent for an already decadent milkshake and there was nothing really special about the brownie since it wasn't hot or anything. I would try the Waffle next year - looked super legit at the other tables. Or maybe if you get those pies/brownies, just take it off and save it as dessert for the next meal).
I appreciate that they have a washing station where you can rinse out your mason jar and take it home as a souvenir.
Recommendation to the owner: make the Customize Your Own Shake Menu laminated and give customers dry erase markers so they can check off their choices while in line. It'll make your line move so much quicker and give the customers something to...
