Walked in and waited at the door for 5 minutes before even being approached by a worker. He told us we could go upstairs if we wanted (we didn’t know there was an upstairs). So we went up and got seated. The ambiance is very nice and decorated. Our server didn’t come up until way later but he said there was a miscommunication between servers so no big deal. He was very kind and made us feel welcome, but food and drinks did take a long time to come out, despite the restaurant being really empty at the time we were there. And we plowed through our chips (which were a tad over salted) given we were hungry and he never checked on us for a refill until our food was out. Salsa was great though! We ordered and split the chicken fajitas, and a chili con queso appetizer, which came with a plate of rice, beans, sour cream, lettuce, cheese, and pico. Starting with the positives: that fajita chicken is some of the best I’ve ever had. Juicy and flavorful- it’s a cut up breast. The onions were nice and seasoned/caramelized. Queso was good. However, the tortillas were a bit hard. The beans were way too seasoned. I don’t know how to describe it but it was just too much spice and not even in a hot/spicy way just overwhelming mix of flavors. The rice was also very salty. If you came here thinking it was going to taste like your local authentic Mexican, it’s not. There’s so many flavors, which is a good thing, until they go overboard and add too much of it or over-salt. I’m not completely dissatisfied with our visit. It was our anniversary so I did have high expectations for the night, but I wouldn’t come back or recommend it to a friend, given the price point ($27 for fajitas and $8 for that small bowl of queso)

We had the pleasure of eating here while on a short trip to Atlanta. We had to wait a little before being seated but we were told it would be a little wait. The restaurant is located inside Hilton so we were able to wait in the hotel lobby. We were seated and our server (Kiana I believe was her name) took our order. They brought complimentary chips and salsa which were really good, the chips were still warm and the salsa was fresh. Now for the food, husband ordered the gumbo which he did not finish because it was overly salted. The breading on my blackened catfish was too greasy and there was more breading than fish. However, the tarter and remoulade sauce was great and the fries honestly was the best part. Our son ordered the chicken Toluca and he said the rice and beans was the best part. Our daughter ordered the smothered beef burrito and she said it was ok. We did have a little snafu with a part of the order but it was quickly addressed and handled and the manager was so gracious and sincerely apologized for it which can be a rarity. The restaurant was nice, there was music playing and we always enjoy that. To sum it up, we felt the price of the food did not mesh with the quality and taste but we will likely go back and try something else since we did enjoy the service and atmosphere. FYI: Make a reservation especially on the weekend.

This is a new restuarant added to the centennial location around the Georgia Aquarium. The hostess was great she checked on us serveral times. The food is a mix of Louisiana Cuisine and Mexican Food. I loved the Mardi Gras theme that the restaurant had with beads and also a menu that Tailored to the Mardi Gras theme. The seasonings of the food was kinda off I felt like it was missing some things. It tasted like it was only seasoned with Salt and Pepper. I order the chicken and jambalaya. The rice was over cooked and soggy. The shrimp was undercooked. I also order the beignets which was pretty tasty. The drinks was okay and wasn't that strong. Overall I give it a 3 the food could have been better and service was good. I like the idea of a blend of Mexican with Louisanna flare just missing the proper seasons would have pushed it to a 5 star rating especially for $65 including tip.

We stayed 4 nights at the attached Hilton Garden Hotel. We tries to eat there 3 times in the evening and it was never successful. Night 1 - hours said until 11pm. Walked in at 1015pm to get an order to go because they never answered the phone when we called. Bartender had the bar mostly broke down cleaning up. Few people sitting at one end.... Was told rudely the kitchen was closed. This was Fri night. ALL EVENINGS THE KITCHEN CLOSES AND HOUR BEFORE THE BAR SO PLAN ACCORDINGLY! NOTED.

Night 2 - Saturday night... Go down about 945PM because calling doesn't work again and figured we would just get dessert.... They have 2 options... Tres leches cake or beniegets.... We decided the cake because that would be easy for them. Waitress was nice, rang up the order and I signed the room charge slip.... Few minutes later guy comes out and says sorry, we are out.... Seriously? The waitress should have been informed since there were only 2 of them wouldn't be hard to notify. But ok...

Night 3 - last night there.. Sunday... Since we knew the kitchen closed an hour early and they closed at 10 we decided to get there about 8. Walked in the bar and looked a little full so we opted to take the elevator to the 2nd floor only to find the door closed and locked..... Go back downstairs to the bar. We stand there for a about 5 min and the waitress said someone will be over in a moment... The tables were full but 2 tables were leaving. The "hostess" came by and said they were not seating anymore people. That the waitress (same one as night before) requested no more tables to be sat.

At this point I was pretty frustrated and expressed that to her. She just looked at me, gave me a glare and walked away!

We ended up ordering door dash because I refused at this point to give them any of my money!

I had a 20.00 credit per day and was excited to try out something close to the hotel but I will never spend a dime here.

I wouldn't be surprised if they close because surely they can't run a successful business this way. When we are back in Atlanta I will make sure to steer clear of the restaurant and make other plans.

Good luck if you go!

Kitchen closes every night an hour before they close, they will close whenever they want and may or...

My wife and I ate at many places on our four-day trip to Atlanta, and Kianna was the best service we received anywhere. For some reason, our drinks took a long time before we ordered food. Then, we ordered food with no drinks. Eventually, the food got there before our drinks still weren't there. Kianna kept checking on us and got us waters every now and then, but the beverages just weren't anywhere to be found. It wasn't that busy at the tables or the bar, so we weren't sure why the drinks were so slow. At one point, we looked at the bar and noticed that the bartender wasn't even at the bar. Kianna was there though. Kianna had gone behind the bar and was making our drinks! When I said I was going to write a review, my wife mentioned that she heard someone call the bartender Donovan. Not sure if that's his name, but whoever it was, needs to not be a bartender anymore. There were so many empty seats at the bar, and yet, we couldn't get two beverages?! Kianna was so polite and respectful. She made us feel like we were hanging out with an old friend. And it wasn't that canned, manufactured, customer-service-speak that comes across condescending. She was a genuine, sincere person who was happy to take care of us. She just couldn't get drinks from the bar. Otherwise, it was a fine experience. The food was good. Not great, but good. The tables were so close that we struck up conversations with the tables next to us. Sure, that isn't a horrible thing. But we weren't going out to eat to make new friends. Kianna was great. The guy who was bussing the tables, Sebastian, was perfect. But Donovan was an absolute mess. Maybe it was a bad day for him. No, it was definitely bad day for him. I just don't know if it was a normal bad day for him. Either way, it was a very bad look for the entire establishment. Kianna was the only...
