I’m going to start out with I believe the kitchen may have Just been off their game last night. I’ve worked in restaurants for 24 years. I know how it can get sometimes so I would definitely give them another chance. That’s also why I’m giving them three stars instead of just one. I also want it to be known that We never made any complaints about the food to the service staff. I honestly, I don’t think they would’ve been able to fix it last night And would’ve just brought the same stuff back out.

I brought my daughter and her friend here last night for her birthday on our day trip to Atlanta. We lived in Germany for five years, so I was really excited to take them here. The server and food runners were great. The food was not at all!

We started out with Reuben rolls. I’m not understanding why they were sweet and super greasy. We added the pretzel it was average. Do not get the cheese spread that is an option. It’s more of a spread that tastes like feet.

Jägerschnitzel My daughter ate the mushroom gravy off the top, but didn’t eat anything else. She didn’t like it. I got the same thing, but due to mushroom allergies, he brought me two other options for Gravy. I had been on the fence about getting the sauerbraten, but after I got the gravy for it I was so happy I didn’t. Yes it’s supposed to be sweet, but that was over the top with sugar.

The KÄSESPÄTZLE was just a glob of melted cheese and onions sitting in oil. The caramelized onions in it were really good. The KARTOFFELSALAT was also good. The server brought apple strudel to us when we were leaving for her birthday and that was really good. Thank you for that.

We ended up leaving full plates and going to eat somewhere else. I don’t know of a time, though we didn’t almost finish plates or ask for a to go box. I so wanted this to be good and the next time I’m in Atlanta I might give it another shot maybe the kitchen was having...

My husband and I went here to kick off our anniversary celebration. He has been to Germany and has trying to find authentic German food for the longest. This location was on a street lined with restaurants near the College Football Hall of Fame and the Centennial Olympic Park.

First: the atmosphere. Great view of the Atlanta skyline. Good music, friendly crowd. There was bar seating, picnic tables and another bar/ledge that overlooked the street. We were seated in German style seating: next to other guests at the same tables. There was a Restaurant Alive Party event going on on Marietta St, so upon arrival it was fairly busy and it was about a 20 minute wait.

Second: the beer. Amazing! Huge sizes and truly authentic styles. Served at a traditional temperature, more warm than normal. Delicious! They ran out of the beer I had my heart set on (Wiehenstephan Hefeweizen) but the waitress suggested one that was similar and it ended up being just as good (Wiehenstephan Vitus). My husband had the Spaten, the traditional Oktoberfest beer.

Third: the meal. I ordered the single bratwurst plate with sauerkraut and käsespätzle (cheesy egg noodles). I was not a huge fan of the sauerkraut but the other parts of the meal were outstanding. He had the Jägerschnitzel, a lightly breaded pork cutlet topped with mushrooms with the käsespätzle. He loved it!

Overall this was a fantastic experience! We cant wait to...

This is a place where you must sit family style. As in, there are large picnic style tables and you likely will have strangers sitting with you. I have no problem with that but important to know. I was seated next to a woman who I did not know, who was constantly vaping and blowing it in my direction/directly at me (which was away from her friends). Now, I don't think she was intentionally blowing it at me, I was just a convenient direction (away from her friends and where most people walked) and she didn't care. I complained 3 times, because i I an sensitive to that type of thing and I started getting a migraine. They said they talked to her one of the times i got up to use the restroom. Finally, I said I was going to leave, and the waitress told me they were going to do one check for the table. Are you kidding me? I'm pretty sure this woman, who I did not know, had figured out that I complained about the fact she was vaping and blowing it in my face for over an hour. So I just gave the waitress cash. The waitress didn't think i gave a big enough tip, although it was still a reasonable tip - but she wouldn't give me an actual tab. So i gave her a little more cash and she was like... yeah that's good. I felt extorted.

They need to be more serious about enforcing vaping. Same as smoking or doing illegal drugs in my opinion as i have no idea...

I know I am a bit late, posting a review from my visit at the Biergarten's Oktoberfest, but rather late than never. The thing is, I have been at the Biergarten a few times before, but never at one of their larger events. I had no idea what was in store for us at this time: - A pig roast, which provided FREE food for all visitors. - A keg of Oktoberfest beer (I estimate it was around 25 to 30 liters), FREE for everybody who wanted one. - Since I was part of the "German Stammtisch", we (as a group) received a HUGE platter with all kinds of German meats and sides, easily feeding 12-15 people, for FREE as well. The owner (sorry I forgot the name - shame on me) came by probably half a dozen times during the evening, checking on us, making sure we are not running out of anything, and asking for any possible wish we could have. The only (very small) downturn was the music. The DJ played quite a few German "Bier Songs", but also a lot of other tunes that you would not connect to Germany in any way. I understand that music should accomodate most everybody, but on the other hand, if you are going to a German Oktoberfest, you would expect that they play more German music. My full congratulations to the Biergarten Team for a very, very nice evening!
