I have been coming to Steamboat for close to 20 years now. This by far was the worst vacation anywhere I have been to. We stayed in condo 331. There were certain units that couldn't check in at Ski Inn office, that couldn't ride the Ski Inn shuttle bus. We so happen to be in one of them buy out units. Everyone keeps making an excuse about this 2008 half buy out crap. Who cares!!! It's 2017. We couldn't check in at the condo. We had to go across town. They said we could only ride Steamboat Resort shuttle. Which was horrible in itself. 5 shuttle buses waiting and none of them would allow my family on the bus. We had to only take a dispatched bus. Which seemed like only 1. It took over 40 minutes if not longer when we would call. And when one finally showed up, the driver wouldn't let my family on the bus. I had to argue with him to finally call the dispatcher to say it was ok. Horrible horrible. One night we were locked out of condo. All 4 keys would not work. We walked to the office 1 min away for our unit, so the office can inform us that our unit is part of this stupid 2008 buy out and they couldn't give us a key. We had to wait close to an hour and a half before someone would show up to let us inside. After waiting an hour in, we had called back and there response was "we are waiting to take care of clients at the office". Horrible horrible horrible. ...
Read moreImagine a glorious and relaxing musical. Act one is filled with great detail and amazing service, while act two has relaxation and calming songs to drift into a being of zen. This is the ski inn condos in a nutshell. If you want to stay here, stay in room 336. The improvements this family has made to make their second home a home has made our trip phenomenal. And MAX. MAX WAS THE MOST HELPFUL MAN EVER. He’s in the clubhouse, and if you ever need a pay on the back, he’s the man. Have I mentioned that it’s ski in ski out? Other places (like the beautiful Victorian) say they are ski in ski out, but that is far from the truth, because they use the ski inn parking lot. Now keep in mind that only owners of the condos can have pets, but don’t fret. Your dog needs a break from the fast life sometimes. I’m sure if you brought your goldfish, Max wouldn’t stop you. Have I mentioned the hot tubs? Well there are! Two steamy outdoor hot tubs want you to relax an and just breathe on the breathtaking clubhouse balcony. The indoor hot tub sits next to a sauna calling for you. And them’s the facts. Sheraton? No. Steamboat Grand? No. Mega mansion on top of the hill? No. Ski inn?...
Read moreSpent two nights in the 100 building at the Ski Inn through Wyndom resorts. Be sure to read your confirmation and know where to check in. Our check in was in a shopping/restaurant complex just down the road. Staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. There are two different shuttles that service the Ski Inn. We recieved a phone number to call when we needed a ride into town. They were there within 15 minutes to pick us up from the Condo and when we were ready to leave downtown they picked us up within 10. Very convienient and faster than taking the city shuttle. Nice suprise we were not expecting. The condo itself was very clean. You can tell it is an older unit but was very well maintained. Smelled fresh, Had all the pots and pans, and things needed to cook a couple meals. Bring everything you need though including the little stuff like salt, pepper, oil. There was nothing. There was coffee though. We walked to the Gondola in the morning to go skiing and walked back at the end of the day. Downhill on the way, up on the way back. Not too bad though. The mattresses would be the only reason I woudl take off a point. Very...
