Douglas Waikiki — Hotel in Honolulu

The Douglas Waikiki doesn't really seem to exist and yet we're sharing here. The front of the building says "Royal Kuhio" it is quite dated even though it's getting a face-lift. At the same time it's centrally located, secure, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. I'm used to a single family home in a small town so the 26th floor in a busy city is just odd for me and makes it difficult for me to adequately evaluate. Very disappointed. Pool closed, for construction,I was not given that information when I booked. Nobody anywhere to answer questions.the lock box for my room key was broken, the ad displayed a ‘ocean or diamonhead’ view... I had neither. Bust street noise made it hard to sleep.
