Long-time Rooster's fan here...
This is a great place to go for families, and, true to the name, it is just a fun, casual joint!
The food here is tasty for sure, certainly not for people with a more refined taste. Their iconic traditional bone-in wings have a really good taste, and they are almost never dry. They have a decent selection (about 10) of wing sauces to choose from, they go from sweet, all the way up to heat levels that will burn your tongue out of your mouth, unless you're the average Midwestern dad of course. I recommend getting the boneless drums if you want a cleaner, but still amazing tasting meal, which can be eaten with a fork. The boneless drums still have a lot of meat on them, and 5 of them + a side (cheese fries with bacon bits are my personal favorite), can fill most people up. If you really aren't sure that will fill you up, add a half size salad, or get 10 drums.
We went around 4 on a Saturday, and there was no wait, while the restaurant was filled pretty well.
Soft drinks: Coke products, Dr. Pepper
Service was about average, nothing extraordinary, have had worse service here, and have had better.
The atmosphere has always been, and will always be fun and casual. Wear whatever, bring as many people as you like, and can have a lot of young athletes during certain times of the year. TVs play sports and lottery, all of the time. This includes The Olympics when they're on. Nice music.
The bathrooms, men on the left and women on the right. I will be speaking about the men's restroom from here on. Clean, small, and hard to have 2 people at the double sink at a time, the dual automatic paper towel dispensers get in the way. The door does NOT push open from the inside, sadly. The bathroom was crowded so I didn't have a chance to check for a foot opener on the bottom of the door. The sinks will splash if you're not careful, they are also manual, temp is adjustable, and the water does get hot.
Overall, I love this place. Great for families and a fun and casual atmosphere. Would highly recommend as a well priced...
Read moreRoosters needs no introduction for most areas. However, for those who haven't frequented, Roosters is a fun, inviting, lively sports bar. The bar is open in the middle of the room with ample bar stools. The rest of the seating is booths and tables. The tables can be pushed together to accommodate family gatherings.
There is a back area that can be closed off that provides a potential party plan, half inside half outside for convenience.
The bathrooms, those that I've seen, have always been kept nice and clean.
The hosts are typically young adults who are very inviting. They'll lend a hand if a customer is in need. They have a spring in their step, a smile on their face, and won't forget to say, "Thank you for coming," on your way out. The waiters are friendly and helpful with suggestions. Don't forget to ask for sauces. They have a bagillion, and they're all amazing!
Just so you are aware, the food is great, but it is indicative of a sports bar. My hubby and I love to be entertained by all the TVs with sports channels of all kinds while munching on our favorite pizza, sandwiches, chicken wings, meat and non meat salads, or all the appetizers we want!
It's also fun to read all the signage plastered all around on the walls. Some of them are ironic, some are blatantly true, but most are simply hilarious! All-in-all, Roosters is fun for dates, family eats, relaxing at the bar after work, a party event, or even a single outing who wants to eat and watch their favorite...
Read moreExciting and fun atmosphere with excellent food and drinks. Clean both inside and out. The price point is average and inexpensive and just an overall good casual place to visit.
It is often extremely busy and can be noisy at times. A good place to take the kids. They do serve alcohol and they do have a bar section. If you don't want to expose your children around people who are drinking, just ask to be seated away from the bar.
The employees are very friendly and will go out of their way to make you happy and are quick to correct any problems that may have been made.
This location is somewhat tricky to get too. You can see the restaurant from the road and would assume you can just turn into it from the main road, but you have to turn on the street next to White Castle and then turn left on the first drive behind White Castle.
Traffic can be a nightmare depending on the time of day. Parking can also be a problem when they are the busiest... lunch and dinner hours and of course on weekends.
I recommend...
