I went to pick up soup for a sick relative/friend (2) of the largest sizes. while ordering my carry out I ordered 2 of the same soup (total of 4). They filled 3. The employee failed to ask me when she found out they didn't have enough if I would like the 4th to be a different soup. If ASKED .. I would have ordered another soup for the 1 they didn't have enough of. She didn't tell me when she found out. So when I asked after waiting quite a while I was told they were making more. What..putting frozen soup in microwave and heating? So..not only did it take for-ever but she was not timely with the updates. Sorry I tipped her prior to receiving my carryout. She was rude and responded to me as if I had no right to ask. Not only that but when I 1st walked in she was doing something on her phone. Did not greet me..nothing. Where was the Management? I'm disabled. My walker is noisy. She absolutely knew I was there. I waited what seemed like forever..40 min.'s plus?. When I asked after this long/unreasonable time I asked why I was not given the option right away to order a different soup. In a very rude way she responded that she did. No. Not wanting to argue I asked if she could bring it to my car (parked in carryout). She was snippy as if I asked her to deliver a million dollars. Again..I'm on a walker and had no way to carry the 2 bags. I literally had to point to it when she began to protest. I go to my car. An additional 20+ min.'s. Had to call. Finally was told it's on its way. Person who 1st answered phone was kind and professional. The rude employee brought it to my car and I thanked her. She made no attempt to be kind or apologize for my wait. She needs a different line of employment. Had it not been for my sick friend I would have left and told them I won't be back. Plenty of places in Grove City to get soup. The food was good. The experience very bad. Bob Evan's has not meant quality for a long time. Had there been a manager to see her poor treatment I doubt it would have happened. Problem...rude...
Read moreJust had the worst experience in dining out in years. My wife ordered an omelette w hash browns and I ordered a pot roast sandwich with fries. Within a reasonable amount of time our meals arrived to our table. My wife asked about bread and she didn’t know whether it came with the meal. My wife asked for some banana bread whether it came with or it was extra. She turned to me and said she would bring out my aujus for my sandwich .5 minutes later I noticed my wife was picking thru her omelette and I asked what was wrong. She explained to me that her omelette was not edible and tasted like a dry sponge. I told her to stop eating it and I would get the waitress attention and get her something different to eat. After explaining the situation with the waitress She offered to get a new omelette or a different choice and my said she would rather have a BLT. A few minutes later 2 pcs off banana bread arrived with out butter/honey and no aujus. 5 minutes later my wife’s BLT was dropped off at our LITERALLY. Still no dip for my half eaten sandwich. A few minutes later a gentleman was stopping at tables asking how their food was. I waved him over to our table and he asked how was our food was. I was explaining to him our situation and he asked were we getting it resolved and I replied I think so. He then walked away with no apology. A few minutes later another waitress walked by and asked if we needed anything and I replied water would be nice. When she returned with the water she asked if everything’s okay. I said No and showed her the omelette and she said she would have never severed it to a customer. She did comp my wife’s meal and apologized. We never did see our waitress or the so called manager again. I’ve worked in retail my entire life ( over 50 years ) and would never treat a customer in that kind of manner. I never raised my voice, not vulgar, I just asked for a meal that was edible. This is the first time in all my years that I’ve written a review. To bad it had to be...
Read moreHad errands to do in this part of Grove City, and I haven't been to this particular one before. I'm trans and dressed as a woman, and I was treated correctly and with respect as I had my breakfast.
Food was their usual standard, and good enough to warm me up on a cold winter morning.
And what a difference a week makes! As I was doing more errands in the same area, and happy with last week's experience, I returned to have breakfast again. I was still dressed as a woman, just not as feminine. While I can't fault them for giving me the corner table behind the booths, why do they put the menu and tableware, on the table that puts my back to the room.
No complaint about the food, but I was treated bruskly by my waitperson. I was "sir"ed twice, and they left promptly, before I could correct them. They spent time chatting with customers, while serving coffee, as I was waiting for my first refill, and when she got to my table, she poured as fast as the carafe could, before leaving. They always seemed to spend the minimum amount of time to interact with me. I didn't even get asked how was everything. I didn't attempt getting a third cup, nor was offered a to-go cup, as I had seen offered to many other patrons.
I complained to the cashier, about how I was treated, and other than a quick apology, I paid my bill, but I left...
