The hotel seems to be nice and my husband always stay at this hotel. I had 2 rms for 2 nights each. I had 1 issue with the toilet being nasty with blood and urine left on the inside toilet seat. I did tell the front desk upon departure bc we used the bathroom in the other rm. I would have showed him the pictures but he did not have any concern what my issue was once he saw my rate. I was told you have a discounted rate and they will let house keeping know. The point is I paid to stay and you could at least apologize for the issue. It doesnât matter if the rm was free Iâm still a guest in your facility. How much I paid to stay there should not have anything to do with the bathroom being nasty. In others word discounted rms get a discount so put them in the not so clean rm. I would normally tip the housekeeper and I never get service bc I clean up behind myself so I donât get service. I will never stay here again I only stayed bc my husband always stay here for work and heâs and Titanium member. Iâm sure if I was staying there under him the frontdesk would have not looked at my stay as a discounted stay.. Treat all guest as a guest just bc itâs discounted doesnât mean we canât afford it. Once the frontdesk started calling me the day of my arrival I should have cancelled then they wouldnât let me put my bonvoy card on file over the phone to change the form of pay bc the card on file was not the correct card I wanted to use. On top of rushing me to get there for check in after I said I was on the way we got stuck in traffic to be put in 1 nasty rm. The 2bdrm was clean is...
Read moreWorst hotel experience EVER! Iâm not being dramatic. The room was decent but the management AND front desk staff were not helpful, lacked compassion, and unresponsive to phone calls. They are run by Marriott but thereâs a severe disconnect between Aloft, Marriott, and their third party booking partnerships. There are hidden fees so be sure to check on those if you book (in which I highly donât recommend). The space is clean. Toilet wouldnât flush. Main concern is the lack of concern and willingness to assist customers. Itâs a space that feels like theyâre literally just there for a check but their personalities are completely checked out. Felt like being in a simulation. Very cold. Not warm and welcoming. They donât offer breakfastâŚjust coffee. Extremely disappointed with their policies youâll have to look hard to even find because they donât make you aware of anything or communicate. They just take the payment. They kept the money for my reservation and canceled my room due to a policy that I still havenât found in writing anywhere but Iâm sure it exists. Should be communicated up front. Room 3 starsâŚstaff is 0. Parking is not great either. $35 to park and hard to find parking near...
Read moreAloft Memphis downtown exceeded all expectations in comfort cleanliness and amenities. Customer service was second to none as staff went above and beyond in accommodating all requests asked of them. Room was spacious, very clean and well appointed. We stayed for three days with friends who were just as impressed with their room as well as the staff and the good vibes this property offered. ||My only complaint and albeit well beyond the control of the hotel was its location. Downtown Memphis is in bad shape. Homelessness, empty buildings and urban blight are very prevalent and as such one should exercise caution when walking the area especially at night. During our stay 2 out of 3 nights we had to pay a fee to walk Beale Street. We were told this was implemented as a deterrent for crime and to fund security measures in the area. ||All in all it we had a great trip to Memphis and the majority of which was the direct result of our stay and interactions with staff. The customer service we received at the Aloft was fantastic and every staff member friendly and willing to help with anything asked of them. Will definitely stay here again...
