The Two women that helped me were rude and unkind,as if they are hateful of and discriminating against their own gender.I have been celibate for 16 Years(not that celibacy is any reflection on a human being’s character-though a woman who is celibate for 16 YEARS can certainly be somebody who doesn’t hold any gender in higher standing, but rather BOTH at equal vaLue)and they treated me like a Free Public Bathroom,.The male who helped wasn’t any better, except was more aware once he saw I wasn’t mentally inept.-not that I would EVER refer to any human being that way(i.e.as”mentally inept”).A spitefully negative assumption's is the action of discriminating against others.-especially when somebody is working in a company that sells humanitarian resources and is doing such.it’s heinously unjust that some people don’t get the chance to work at Duane Reade who would treat people quite the opposite but they don’t get chosen.PLease don’t read this review’s intentions as to be making the point that men are less likely to discriminate against women than women are likely to.BOTH WOMEN AND MEN Discriminate against women often.Discrimination obviously doesn’t come in a certain type of outward appearance. The security guard is the only individual that valued equality and dignity, not looking over at me with an ignorant judgemental facial expression.-Being more observant of the highly competent social etiquette I try so very hard to extend to others,as social etiquette most obviously is a sign of strong character that anybody,no matter how poor or rich they...
Read moreThis Duane Reade has gone way down hill in the last year.
The pharmacy is never timely (People regularly spend hours on line to find out their prescriptions aren't ready), and the pharmacy has now cut hours despite increased demand, pharmacists are rude to elderly customers who request help with vaccine appointment setup (directing them online instead of facilitating them).
Tonight was the last straw, the pharmacist was present at 5:05 pm (finishing up with another customer, that after the pharmacist left, it turned out she had given the customer the wrong prescription). The pharmacy hours online state they are open until 6:00 pm on Sundays. But now it closes based on a posted sign at 5:00 pm, this is a new change but instead of extend a courtesy to a customer and simply pull the antibiotic my infant needed the pharmacist rushed to 'clock out'... How sick does a pharmacist need to be to have so little courtesy or care for the needs of a sick baby?
Just last week I spent hours, in the middle of the work day, patiently waiting for this same pharmacy to pull a prescription they should have had ready and/or been able to fill in 10-15 minutes, and now this in return?! No thank you, find somewhere else to send...
Read moreI would give this place zero stars if I could. I went there twice two days in a row. Both days after work in full uniform, and both days to the pharmacy. To give you context, I am an EMT, and it says so on my shirt. Went straight to the pharmacy and straight out the door, never touching anything. Yet I was followed and watched as if I was in there casing the joint for robbery. I was highly disgusted. Because while that lame wannabe-cop guard was watching me, others probably really were stealing... or not. Idk. All I know is to profile people just based on the color of their skin is despicable and wicked. Especially when your skin tone matches mine. I get that some people need jobs, but some jobs should really make you sick just at thought. There was nothing in my character or actions that even gave off the hint of "I want to steal." If it weren't for me needing the medication I had to pick up, I would have never gone back there, and I would've been...
