I really hesitate leaving a bad review for a newer shop and small business, but I feel compelled to be honest. The shop itself is so cute and love that they serve stumptown. We saw it coming into stay from Portland and it was our first stop the next morning.
My friend ordered a latte but was told they only had 2 flavors and one was out, so she got a caramel one and it was okay. I ordered an iced americano and was handed a scalding hot coffee in a clear plastic cup with about 5 ice cubes floating in it. We watched her make the drink by pouring a few shots into a larger paper cup with a ton of scalding water and then pour about half of it into the clear cup with the 5 ice cubes.
The barista told me they didn’t have cold water as she was handing it to me, which would have been great to know before, and told me to just let the ice melt??
I ended up with a very warm watered down coffee. Both drinks each were about $7 with tip and ended up in the trash and we got coffee elsewhere. Hope this can be turned around and they are well stocked and well trained in coffee making going forward - would love to try again...
