Alright, worst restaurant experience ever.
The cook had his mask pulled down the entire time. A waitress who was just getting off work wasn"t wearing a mask at all and kept go over to flirt with the cook standing over food. Watched the lady packing the Togo orders tell the cook that a burger wasn't supposed to have cheese on it. He reached into the bun with his fingers and wiped the melted cheese off the burger. The cheese was then flung into the trash and the burger was put into a Togo bag and given to the customer. One of my items was covered hash Browns, the cook made them with onions as well. Me, standing 5 feet away, heard the lady taking the orders tell the cook that the hashbrowns weren't supposed to have onions. He shrugged. She put the top on the container and put it in my bag and handed the bag. I immediately took the hash Browns out of the bag and told her that I literally just heard her tell the cook that my hashbrowns were made incorrectly. She replied that working at Waffle House "isn't easy". If you can't handle working there THEN DONT WORK THERE. Customers deserve better. Get home with the food. 3 eggs were supposed to be just scrambled and another 2 scrambled with cheese. They reversed that. Shocking. Large eggshell in the eggs, don't these guys crack eggs for a living? Also, no hashbrowns were supposed to be on that order but you can clearly see that hashbrowns were put in the container and removed. There are hashbrowns strands everywhere. The other order of eggs and toast was not supposed to have grits. And yet the grits were sloppily put into the container so it mixed with the toast and eggs. My nephew refused to eat any of it. We tried to call in our order but received no answer. While there the phone kept ringing but the employees were too busy with their personal devices, even the chef who kept picking up his phone wearing the same gloves that he used to cook.
This place seriously needs to be shutdown. I am absolutely shocked what my nephew and I witnessed, almost to the point of disbelief. Most of my order was thrown away, we are done with Waffle House for a very long time after tonight.
This all happened at this North Charleston location, Saturday 3/27 between 9pm and 9:32pm.

Read moreNo I'm not usually one who complains but there was so much about this sitch that was not ok .. so we pull up . It's raining out and my bf was on a motorcycle and we wanted to get out of the rain . The sign outside stated that on weekends and holidays the store is open for carry out only from. Like 9 pm or some where near that time and 6 am . It was a Tuesday night I believe not a holiday or weekend . The cook was outside smoking and as we pulled up he gets to says they are not open till 6. Walks in and locks door. Now mind u it was a bit rainy and it was 10 min till 6. Now I work food and bev and I don't like it when people want to come in before opening. But that were not supposed to be closed. I also understand the need to get the last few opening items done before you let people in you know if you still got stuff to do, but that was not the case in the situation. Attached are two pictures of what the three people inside the restaurant we're doing while making people stand outside in the rain any restaurant that was not supposed to be closed at that time. Read moreI go out at least once or twice a month and try to do reviews Rude staff- told my 72 yr old aunt to get up so she can clean the table. When it was pack and we seen other ppl do the same thing bf we did Training- 1.our order got taken but we was there an hr before it got called. 2. They had him running around give out drinks and telling him to do everything else but help him. 3. I had to tell the manager that I notice that no one is showing him how to call out orders or tell him that if you place the tickets down I will do it. 4. I feel so sorry for the guy bc he is not getting trained correctly. So please do not take it out on him. He is doing the best he can. I had to cancel my order because I wasn’t hungry anymore. My aunt was upset so I let them know we was going to leave. I don’t know but today it was very horrible service and it needs to be corrected. I know that they was busy but no one should never be treated like that. It’s not just us it was others. I hope that they do better and get it right . Remember without the customers it’s no job.
