First time here
Not bad, but not great.
We were seated fairly quickly, we were told 20 minutes which ended up being more like 10-15, that was nice. But the good parts kind of end there.
Right off the bat I could tell they were either having some sort of staffing or management issues because I could overhear conversation from one of the waitresses about how they were out of some dishes/sides all together, after having to tell several people who ordered online that they did not have XYZ available. Nothing I wanted, so it didn't affect me or my partner, but I could tell by the look on the customers faces they walked away looking defeated.
Anyways,
We were seated and it took probably another good 15 minutes or so for someone to come by and ask us what we would like to drink.
It wasn't incredibly busy, it was 9:45PM or so, that was a little frustrating. Then to get those drinks and to take our order, it took at least another 15-20 minutes, at this point we were already fantasizing about ordering food elsewhere.
The highlight of my dining experience here has got to be the biscuits we got after putting in our order, They were very good, and I understand the hype there.
However, the food is average, especially for the price. My girlfriend had ordered shrimp linguini and some snow crab. I ordered the chicken linguini and bacon wrapped scallops as a starter.
The scallops were okay but I've had better at hibachi places. Somehow I ended up enjoying the spring mix and whatever dressing they put on top more than the scallops (sad).
The pastas (shrimp/chicken) themselves are pretty good but decidedly average considering the price tag.
The snow crab leg was also okay but my partner was not impressed, for one, they had brought it out with no crab crackers, leaving her to struggle with them for a few minutes until we were able to flag someone down...even with the crackers the meat was very stubborn to get to.
In the words of my girlfriend: "Publix offers a better crab broil experience, it's cheaper and they'll season and steam it for you."
Probably the tiniest but most disappointing thing above all is we weren't asked or provided any refills throughout our whole dining experience. It's such a miniscule thing but I'm someone who drinks my liquids pretty fast, my drank sat there empty the whole dinner.
I'd give this 3.5 stars if I could, but overall it was a very average and underwhelming experience. Maybe we caught them at a bad time, but I'm hesitant to...
Read moreClearly poor managers job . Dirty ( not wiped clean ) , old and scratched silverware ( although it's hard to call it that ) . The Tea came out in a coffee stained ( to the point, that I personally would just throw it out) mug . Then when asked for hot water , the water came out in a clear plastic cup not suitable for hot water . The waitress said , sorry we have no mugs or glass or kettle or anything left suitable for hot water . When asked for an apple juice at the bar , it was poured in a same clear plastic cup . Jesus people, is this a high quality restaurant or a food truck at some picknick area . Is this The Red Lobster new standard , plastic cups and horribly stained mugs ?! One of the plates was scratched and had a small yellow spec ( food ) that dishwasher didn't get and stuff didn't check. . Seriously do I need to suggest that stuff should look through glassware plates and silverware before setting it on the table ? In the waiting area in the front when we came in some kid spilled a bottle of juice. It was all over the leather bench and the puddle next to it . I pointed it out to a host there and we went for the table. The food was ok , although we didn't enjoyed it , because I had to argue with my date Lady not to make a big deal about Stained mug and boiling hot water in clear plastic cup and I had to enjoy the lecture about plastic and Cancer causing chemicals that occur in contact with boiling water . On the way out , the puddle in the waiting area on the leather bench and the floor was still there . It was embarrassing in front of my classy beautiful date Lady ( from Europe) . I mean I fixed that with a few martinis. But overall complete waste of money and EMBARRASSMENT to the Good old Red Lobster name !!! SaDanna ( PT) Blackmon ! That's on You ! How do you get so sloppy?!! P.S. I just didn't want to ruin waitress's night and...
Read moreThe worst experience I’ve had in my life with this restaurant. I liked most of the restaurants in Orlando because the professional and friendliness of staff in restaurants I came. However, with this restaurant, I felt down after having dinner here for the first time. When I came to check in, the man who was working at the reception looked serious (because of the busy work, I understood that), but he treated me very unprofessionally (rude and not friendly). He wrote names of guests in a waiting list but didn’t follow the order of list. When I had concerns about that, he looked at me seriously and did’t explain anything. And we finally got a table and we were served by another waiter. This waiter (an old man) was also unfriendly and he made me feel he didn’t want to serve us. We ordered the unlimited shrimp but the waiting time was too long (more than 30 minutes for one fill) so we got frustrated and only filled one more time and then finished our dinner with unhappy feelings. I came to many restaurants in Orlando but this is the one I had to wait too long even though there were not too many guests inside. And the waiter didn’t ask us how we felt in the end only checked out with a rude attitude and made me feel really uncomfortable (like I got a free meal from him). To me the food quality is normal (nothing was impressive, shrimps and pasta were too salty to me) but I won’t come back to any Red Lobsters because of the unprofessional attitudes of the staff. I will cancel my membership with Red Lobsters as well. The staff should be trained more and be nicer to customers. I paid nearly 100 dollars for my dinner but the thing I got was the unhappy feeling and I wish I could not come here to make my trip in Orlando more perfect. The experience in this restaurant was the only negative thing on my...
