Blue Fog Market — Restaurant in San Francisco

There are three reasons why I choose to frequent this business (and write this review):

1. Delicious sandwiches. I am a self confessed sandwich snob and I prefer Blue Fog's custom sandwich's after a long workout. They use delicious and fresh ingredients such as good quality balsamic, sprouts, house-roasted turkey, and real avocado (not that pre-packaged spread that most places use). Even as I type this, my mouth is watering thinking of how delicious their sandos are.

2. Perfect bodega. They a complete and diverse selection of beer, wine, and dinner essentials (Including Grapefruit Sculpin). It's refreshing to have a corner store that has high quality ingredients (like risotto, fresh berries, or salad essentials), where you can quickly pick up supplies if you have to throw together a last-minute dinner.

3. Pleasant staff and owner. The staff has made a noticeable effort to remember my name and always greets me with a smile. Specifically, KB, the owner is always friendly and willing to help me (with a roll of quarters or a fresh avocado) regardless of what I need. The owner has even taken my suggestions to incorporate a couple of my favorite items in their regular stock.

It's a real shame I have to leave such a poor review, but they have given me no choice. The blonde lady with tattoos (maybe the owner?) demonstrated the worst customer service I have ever seen. I ordered a burrito online via Caviar, and when I went to pick it up, I was instructed to take the freaking burrito out of the case in the front. I went outside to eat it, and realized they got my order wrong. I went back to ask them to replace it, and said lady above began to blame me for their mistake, claiming I took someone else's food (even though I followed their instructions to take it). Eventually she replaced my burrito with the correct order (still not very tasty), and then she pointed at me when another customer asked for his food, saying I ate it - effectively blaming me for their mistake again. Unbelievable.

I've never witnessed something so unprofessional, unwarranted, and unnecessary. I highly, highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

PS - my roommate ordered a lox bagel and they managed to mess that up as well. Avoid...

My boyfriend and I decided to walk to this place because they were the only ones open early in the morning, and we were famished. We bought two sandwiches and a bottle of orange juice. The store looks very trendy and nice. There were a few tables outside, so you could eat. There is no where to eat inside. So, we took our meal to go.

I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with chicken. The chicken is so dry. I do not recommend to add chicken to your sandwich. It really needed a sauce. At home, I dipped the sandwich in BBQ sauce, and it was delicious. My boyfriend also ordered a sandwich with chicken, which was also super dry. I liked his better because it had a green sauce that made it less dry.

Overall, it's a nice store to order sandwiches, coffee, and other foods and alcohol. They had a lot of snacks that looked healthy. They seemed to be focused on keto, simple, health snacks. Very...
