Hard to complain about this place. You have to consider that almost everything is more expensive in this part of the country. They do have complimentary bus service to different parts of the community, but hotels, restaurants, groceries, etc. are not cheap. This is the primary reason we chose this hotel - good reviews for the price. We were there during the off season (September), hence, the hotel was not nearly full. I would guess mostly empty, so the 'noise' issue some complain about may or may not be true. It is an older hotel, but it is VERY WELL MAINTAINED. They still use the old fashioned keys. The complimentary breakfast did have waffles, but no eggs. The people working there would go the extra mile to answer questions and are friendly. The room was in very good condition - the beds were very comfortable. The TV had two remotes - took a while to get used to, but really not there to watch TV, right? The manager (in my pictures) was there to greet us when we arrived. I would stay here again, without hesitation.

Great place to stay and just a short walk onto snowmass slopes. The city bus stops are also a short walk up a hill. Most of the staff was nice. Rooms were clean and seemed to be well kept. You may have issues trying to get a total of 4 towels and wash cloths even if you have a 2 bed room. It depends on what staff member you talk to. The daily breakfast from 7am-9am is worth waking up for. They have a waffle maker, doughnuts, hard boiled eggs, bagels, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, and cereal. Bathroom showers are short and small but work for a vacation. WARNING: if someone in the nearby rooms flushes a toilet all cold water is reduced so your shower turns to boiling hot without warning for a few seconds. There was also no way to vent the bathroom which was quite annoying. The room does have a small safe and a very small fridge (fits a few drinks and 1 Togo box). Will likely stay here again as it was well worth the price to get the convenience of snowboarding all day and to just eat lunch in your room.

The updated, clean rooms are the BEST! The location is fantastic, right on the slope! Great free breakfast; fruit, bagel, make your own waffles...that sort of thing. Coffee maker & frig in the room. There's a microwave, ice machine & washer/dryer in the hallway. Nice clean pool & attached in ground hot tub....which is HUGE. Friendly desk clerk. This is my 3rd stay. I'll be back. 5 stars! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Went back, my 4th stay. The walls are paper thin & loud children in the next room pounding on the walls & screaming, the bed vibrated because of some machinery....the heater maybe? No other 4th floor rooms were available. Unable to sleep, DH & I left. Next day I received a call back from management telling me he was giving me a refund, <b>I WAS THE PROBLEM and DON'T COME BACK! So..................I updated my review and gave 1 star....for THIS visit.

We booked this hotel for the weekend and had such a lovely time. I will say the staff are so friendly and kind. I called ahead to let them know we would be arriving late on Friday because we were coming from Denver. The person I spoke with advised me that if we were going to arrive around 11:00pm that we should eat by at least the town of Glenwood because after that there would be no more open restaurants or fast food, and everything in Aspen would be closed. It sounds like a small thing but it was so helpful, we adjusted accordingly and didn’t arrive after a 4 hour drive hangry. When we got to the hotel it was 11:15 and there was a sign on the door saying to call the on call number. We did and 10 minutes later someone came to check us in. He could be forgiven if he was a little grouchy it was late, and he was clearly at home when we called. But no, he was lovely and gracious, even taking the time to point out helpful tips for our trip. We found the room a little hot with no ac or fan but we asked the guy who checked us in and he gave us a large box fan to put in the window. That was more than sufficient to keep the room cool throughout the night. After a long day of hiking at the Maroon Bells, we came back to the hotel and were pleasantly surprised to find that the room had been turned down, fresh towels, bed made. It seems like after Covid every hotel we’ve been to you have to ask multiple times to have the bed made each morning. We spent the afternoon hanging out at the pool and hot tub. This hotel is more than worth it for the price. The room was clean and spacious, and the guest service was better than we have received at 5...

This place makes Aspen "affordable". This hotel is in an ideal spot. Almost ski in/ski out, the bus to everything stops at the front door and the mall is right across the street. The star rating is 2 star. This is a LIE. This hotel has a 4 star location, a 5 star pool, 5 star hospitality, and 4 star room interiors. Dave, (the proprietor) told me it was 2 star because it had outdoor hallways and no restaurant on site. Well, you want outdoor access rooms in a ski resort so you aren't tracking snow down an indoor hallway and making it wet and musty and sometimes your room is too hot and you can instantly cool it by leaving the door open for a minute. The pool has to be the best in Snowmass. It is HUGE. It even has a deep end! Dave keeps the hot tub at 104 and the pool at 95! It was a nighly ritual relaxing in the pool. I will stay here again even if the pool was the only plus. Its not. The rooms are amazingly updated for the age of the hotel. Very comfortable beds and high quality bedding. Free shuttle to and from the airport. Breakfast was suspended due to covid but Dave said it coming back next season. Ski rental, liquor store, restaurants literally steps away. They also have REAL METAL KEYS. How many times have you found yourself locked out of a hotel room because the stupid magnetic keys stopped working? You forgot how much you love real keys. This is a locally owned and operated hotel, the only one in Snowmass. So if you like to source locally, this is the place to stay. The pride in the business is evident by how well the staff treats guests, just like family. I can't wait to...

Thank you Pokolodi Lodge for a wonderful night stay!! This property is super clean with plenty of fresh clean towels, clean bedding and a wonderful heated jacuzzi for a nice soak after a long hike up Maroon Bells. The bathroom in our room had a wonderful wall heater to warm up the bathroom on a chilly night. In this day and age where customer service and a live human on the phone to answer questions in non-existent, the privately owned Pokolodi Lodge customer service was amazing and appreciated. Dave the manager was so thoughtful and kind. He’s been in the hospitality biz for over 25 years and knows his stuff! He was super busy but managed to find the time to answer all my questions about Maroon Bells parking reservations, shuttle tickets and places to eat as Aspen/Snowmass has changed considerably since I was there in 1980! We will be back for sure! The only negative thing I can think of is that we did hear hallway noise throughout the night in our room when doors would open and close and people coming and going at later hours. It’s probably due to insulation in the walls from a property being built years ago but we know that’s something That it out of their control. Putting a TV on low volume or fan for background noise did the trick and we were fine! I’d rather have a little noise at night than deal with a stuffy/modern/new/ overpriced...
