4.5 stars. Super tiny space so being seated may be an issue, particularly if you are a large party. We went in the middle of the day and were seated at the last table available. You order first and then sit so you have to make quick decisions. If you want something after you're seated, the servers aren't always happy. The food is in huge portions and it is amazing! We got the spicy edamame, the Grub Thai Pho, the Tom Kha soup, the chicken pad Thai and the spicy fried rice. It was all delicious!! You can make anything spicy. They will either put it in the dish or give you the spicy sauce on the side. And man, I LOVED that spicy sauce. The spicy edamame is probably one of the best edamame I've eaten in a while. The sauce was perfect for the crunch of the edamame. The Pho was delicious! Definitely needed the hot sauce, as it was quite bland without it. But it was warm, soothing, with noodles, onions and beef, something that my brain did not know it wanted, until it did! The tom Kha soup on presentation looked so yummy and was yummier when eaten. The pad Thai was sweet and spicy and so so delicious that my friend, who never takes leftovers, insisted that she was taking it home AND eating it. The spicy rice was delicious but we had to tell them to make it more spicy. This was probably one of the best Thai meals we have had in a while. It probably helped that we had just some back from a ski lesson and were very hungry but those flavors are still etched in my mind after a week. Definitely go here, I demand of you!!

Friday night (7pm) with 3 others, dining room has well spaced tables. You order up front then are given a numbered flag and shown to your seat. Issues came up quickly - drinks came, and then were not refilled - tables were completely ignored. It was over an hour before food hit the table. By that time one of our members had walked out in disgust. My food (pad thai) was tasty, though my buddy complained that his curry had no flavor. A customer got into a verbal altercation as we waited for food. Apparently he had been waiting on a to-go order for 'almost 2 hours'. When he started to complain, the staff told him to speak to a manager, though none were present. Hopefully we came in on a 'one-off' day, though at this time I would say that are better options in the area to get dinner.

We came on Monday around 7pm and there was still a line. They closed at 8pm, so we decided to order togo because we didn’t want to eat in hurry. The foods were very bad and very disappointed. Most of vegetables in our fried rice were raw and rice was salty. We couldn’t finish it and had to throw it away. And their price was overpriced. Regular fried rice is $15, adding protein is about $3-$5. Total you have to pay ~$20 for a portion of fried rice. We are tourists so we probably won’t never come back. And I don’t recommend this place to anyone. There are many other good places in Aspen which is about 15-20 mins from here. But if you still want to come here, think twice before you pay $20 for a meal that you might not finish it.

In sum: Poor quality food - I have had lots of thai food in LA, Chicago, and NYC, and am experienced enough to say definitively that this was C-grade. This restaurant falsely advertises itself as all-female staff when there is a male chef Said man chef is unable to take criticism and conduct himself professionally. When I requested a refund, he yelled before the entire restaurant, chastising me for returning "half-eaten" food (why this is incorrect is explained below) and asking others if they agreed with "this girl" that his food was bad. The establishment may clandestinely charge a 20% service fee even for a party of 2, and not tell you this even as you leave an additional tip.

Takeout service was fast, though not particularly friendly.

The food itself though: 1. chicken which seems to have been frozen, was watery and poor quality 2. pad thai that tasted like spaghetti 3. pad see ew made with long noodles (think pappardelle) rather than short rectangles 4. fried rice with uncooked vegetables and hard rice.

We parsed the food onto 5 plates when we got it home. Then, after having a bite or two each, we realized the food was inedible. We called, and - quite strangely - they insisted we bring the food back, in its original containers, to receive a refund. To be kind, we scraped the food back into the containers and dutifully brought it back as instructed. Of course, since the food had been transferred onto 5 plates before being put back in the container, some was lost in transmission, but the containers were still fairly full.

When I arrived with the food, the cashier told me to wait while she summoned the male chef (giving the lie to the claim this is an all-female establishment), who promptly bellowed to the whole restaurant "excuse me, excuse me - is my food not good? Because this girl is trying to return my food half eaten and saying it's not good". He then told me I would be "blacklisted", before giving me $20 in cash from the register (a small fraction of our $90+ bill) which I took and left.

If you are in the business of vending food, you must accept that customers have the right of return and not take it as a personal offense when they seek financial restitution for food they do not like. Standard industry practice is to issue refunds at face value, not require people to bring takeout back in. Even in the latter instance, throwing a tantrum like this as a business owner is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The meltdown had by the staff was all based on the claim that we had supposedly eaten half the food before returning it. Several reasons this doesn't make sense: A. as I previously explained, some food is inherently lost in transmission between the plates and the boxes. B. Most customers need 2-3 bites before they decide something is inedible, which is perfectly reasonable. Among 5 individuals, that might make something seem "half eaten". C. Almost every individual with enough discretionary income to be vacationing in Aspen/Snowmass has no interest in, or time to spend, trying to scam a restaurant out of less than $100 dollars. These are all things the business owner should already understand and therefore give the customer the benefit of the doubt, but at the very least I could have calmly explained these things had the male chef not erupted in anger before the entire restaurant and essentially accused me, a young Jewish woman, of being a cheapskate and schemer.

Finally, other reviewers have reported that they clandestinely charge a 20% service fee even on takeout orders for a party of two. If this is true, we received no notice of such a gratuity charge, and we tipped 20% on top of that, meaning we were misled into leaving a 40% tip despite this...

Not a pleasant experience for overpriced fried rice. I was rushed to place the order and felt under pressure from the lady at the front. By the way, this is not a restaurant. It’s crack on the wall with a couple of cramped tables. The person who was taking the orders had a nasty attitude, very little patience and didn’t care about explaining anything about the food. I wasn’t familiar with the menu so I picked something I don’t order regularly, but it was the fastest thing I could come up with. The food was not even that good but average (not to say mediocre). The lady included her tip before giving me the credit card receipt which was texted to my cell. She said: “Gratuity is included”. She didn’t mention that it was 20-25% of the bill. I kept saying in my head gratuity for what??? She didn’t even bother to come and ask us how the food was or if we needed anything else…however she did ask other customers in the place…I guess our money wasn’t good enough to her…I wish I had never gone there. I don’t know how I allowed her to disrespect me and my family and tip herself in the process…I guess I was in a good mood, Anyhow…don’t waste your time....
