Gene Taylor’s Sports — Local services in Snowmass Village

I was at Snowmass for the Nastar Nationals. The Folks at Gene Taylor's were my choice for daily wax and tuning. Very reasonable. The proper wax and texture for each day. Their tuners know the snow and what to expect in the course. I finished second last year and came back to them this year with even better results coming in first this year. The course was hard pack ice under the fresh snow. The expert tune I had allowed me to set a hard edge into the hard pack. With no slide sideways.

I would certainly recommend them to all skiers and racers. Way to Go Gene Taylor's

I have rented from Gene Taylors' several times and am so impressed with their service and selection that I honestly have no need nor desire to look elsewhere when I come up to Snowmass. Their rental rates are better than "competitive" and their service is incredibly personal and just downright awesome. I've never bought skis (and thus never had to tune/wax/edge them), but if/when I am in the market to make such a purchase and/or maintain such a purchase, I will probably make an effort to come to town from Kansas just to buy them here because the shop staff have been so good to me...

Great service, long time locally owned/operated (Colorado) store. I won't let anyone else tune my skis/boards. Their tuning machine is $20,000, and their techs are experienced, friendly, quick and prompt. Their staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and the store has a "ma and pa" feeling which is hard to come by in the Aspen/Snowmass area. Don't rent/demo skis/boards anywhere else!! The reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is that their board/ski/apparel selection isn't quite up to par, but they do carry a good amount of inventory. Great place to do...
