Nick, the owner is a magician when it comes repairing blown out edges, or similar massive damage that other ski shops won’t even touch. I’ve had three repairs made on two different pair of skis after managing to find hidden treasure troves of rocks on the double BDs. I found Nick after the fist major edge damage; one look at the extensive mess the rock made of my Volkl sidewall and every other shop ( I went to four) said that only Sunset could do the repair job. In December 2024 we all gathered as a family (11 of us) in Snowmass for our annual early Christmas get together. 5 of us required skis, boots and helmets. We all ended our ski vacation super thrilled to have selected Sunset ski to equip us. The service provided by staff and owner was excellent. This is a wonderful ski shop with wonderful people. I went in with a bad tune on my skis and they fixed it by hand overnight, ready to pick up the next morning. They also had the skis I wanted to rent for my ski buddy (elan ripsticks). Definitely recommend checking out this shop, particularly if you are in need of a tune or some rentals.
