I’m knocking a few stars off because while last year they were open early, this year they have a hard time opening before 8am. They’ve got a ‘will return at 07:30’ sign though its currently 7:46 and a large group is standing outside. This has been consistently the issue all week. More than half the crowd left to First Chair. This place is losing business.
Original Review: Amazing breakfast spot. Visiting Snowmass for a couple days and Fuel was a short uphill climb from our rooms at Stonebridge. Each morning we walked over and had a great breakfast. Thanks to Covid, only 2-3 people were allowed inside to order to-go food, though there are outdoor covered tables and ledges to eat at. Once you have your order in, head back outside and within only a handful of minutes they will call your name and hand you your food. Turn-around was very quick, lines evaporated in no time, food was piping hot. Very good coffee, amazing breakfast burritos (potatoes cooked perfect). Breakfast costs were half what my hotel was charging. We visited every single morning that we...
Read moreExtremely rude and petty. Locals go to First Chair or Sam’s for breakfast burritos, where the food is better and the prices are cheaper. This place used to be owned by a local kid, but he sold during Covid. The entire old staff all quit within the first season. That should be sign enough to go elsewhere. These people took over the listing and did not earn the rating listed. I called in my order 15min ahead of time and when I paid they told me that they don’t do change under $0.25. That’s fine. My total was $9.05 (a lot higher than the old place but I was trying to give them a chance). They refused to take $9. They made a huge deal and had to talk to the manager because they refused to round down 5 cents and required me to round UP 20 cents. They made a huge stink about it and then made me wait to give me my now cold food until every single other person was gone. Never again. This place ruined a good thing and doesn’t care about the people. Nickel and dining...
Read moreThe chorizo burrito was huge and tasted fine, but surprisingly bland. It came with a small to-go container of salsa that helped the flavor. It was quite large, so if you like big portions, it will be good for you and, considering the portion size, the price was fine. I also ordered a chai latte. Their menu said it was a house-made chai so I was really looking forward to discovering what theirs was like. It was disappointing as it tasted like a flat white with a dash of nutmeg and anise. Couldn't even taste a tea flavor. Mine was the only drink on the counter when I picked it up less than 30 seconds after my name was called, so I don't think I picked up someone else's order by mistake.
I ate another breakfast burrito and had a chai at another the day before and also found both surprisingly bland. Maybe the blandness is an Aspen thing. 🤷
The space was nice with both tables / chairs and comfy / cozy soft chairs and couches. Music...
