This Inn can be summed up by one word “Amazing”.
My wife and I have found this to be our Favorite vacation-stay ever!! If we could give this place 10 stars, we would. All the years of traveling this is one of the most amazing place we have stayed at!!
Breakfast, Amazing- this is the best hotel/inn breakfast ever. Every morning there was one different hot breakfast item that was restaurant-quality. Also included was fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, bread for toast, oatmeal, juice, and milk. Every day, the hot breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes.
Coffee Bar, Amazing hot coffee. Syrup’s, hot chocolate and tea choices. This was fresh and hot all day. It was Wonderful to come back from the park at noon or in the evening for a stop at the coffee bar.
Attention to detail- from Breakfast to staff (including the owner, daily) to the decor and details in the rooms and lobby. You feel like you are at home, while being catered to. All we can say is WOW!
The staff is amazing, rooms were stellar, including bathrooms with two sinks and two shower heads. Internet, TV and fireplace in the room. Wine glasses were also in the room; we enjoyed a bottle of Huckleberry wine while visiting.
Making sure we give a shout out to the wonderful staff of this inn that make you feel like you never want to leave and go home.
The location is also perfect, tucked in the corner of town where it quiet but a straight shot (2min travel) into the park. short walk to all shops and restaurants. We walked every day, you can walk to...
Read moreUnfortunately, we did not get an opportunity to stay. We planned a once in a lifetime trip to go to Yellowstone. We chose to stay at the 1872. As the news and commissioner of the park are calling it, the park is closed and it’s 1000 years event. Without access to the park and driving all the way from the Midwest, we chose not to simply drive out and stay at the inn. The whole purpose was to go to Yellowstone. The hotel took a deposit from me a few months back. Their policy is that the deposit is nonrefundable. However, this devastation to the park and it’s closing couldn’t possibly be foreseen. The hotel offered us a credit to use within the next year. We can’t possibly make that happen. We are in our late 50s and just now going to see Yellowstone. It won’t happen again in the next year. They also told us that we could still come and enjoy their small town in activities because it wasn’t their fault that the park closed. Wow. I’m not driving from Indiana to stay at this hotel and go to little activities in their town. The purpose was to go to Yellowstone and to stay at what looked like a fantastic place. Instead, We had to eat a deposit of $600. I appreciate small business and I am sure that this is devastating to local hotels. However, this retired teacher is not happy about having to eat $600. Shame on...
Read more1st trip to Yellowstone. This hotel was so charming. We were greeted and personally shown to our room by Sheron. He showed us around and gave us food recommendations. He was very attentive. The included breakfast every morning was fresh and hot. I enjoyed that the breakfast was on glassware and not paper products. There was soft music playing every morning in the dining area. We were on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator, which was fine for us just want you to be aware in case you have issues climbing stairs. This hotel is adults only. If you are looking for a view this is not the hotel for you. It is on a side street overlooking an empty lot. Do not let this deter you. I highly recommend this place. If we go back to Yellowstone we will stay here again. Side note- I wanted to purchase a coffee cup with their logo that was in our room and on the breakfast bar. I was told they did not sell them. I was disappointed and don’t understand why they would not, it’s advertising that is free to them because I would have paid...
