I had a small room (#6) with a functioning fridge & a microwave oven. It was very clean, without any odor of any kind. There're 2 windows, which are rusty & maybe opened, with difficulty. The one in the bathroom has no screen. The AC is simple but very efficient. The shower room is so small that if you bend, you will hit the walls twice (your head & butt), bearing in mind that I'm a small man. The shower head belonged to 1920's maybe. The stream of water was very thin & off- center ! The manager's son obliged to change it immediately. The hot water didn't run right away. You had to leave the tap running & wait for 2-3 minutes for the warm (& finally hot) water to appear ! There's no tissue paper, only one extra toilet paper. The washing sink is very small & dirty. You had to be extremely careful to not splash water around. Worst of all, the room was way far too much overpriced. I was charged $119.00 per night plus taxes. One good thing. There was no noise from neighbors. Because everyone was absolutely exhausted at the end of the day that they dropped dead to rest, including myself. However, the room has a TV set (Direct TV) with the usual junk programming. By the way, there's no coffee, no breakfast, not even a glass of water in the tiny lobby. There's no Wi-Fi in the room, & no computer even in the lobby, so that you could check- in your flight. So, I couldn't pre-ckeck & I had considerable difficulty at Bozeman airport to check-in. There's no discount for the AAA members. They suppose the price is...
Read moreWhere do I begin? We had such a good experience here. My friend and I were on the way to Glacier from Yellowstone when a snow storm popped up and we couldn't safely make the drive from West Yellowstone to Kalispell. The night before we had camped in 27° weather and my sleeping bag wasn't rated for those temperatures. So we realized we needed to get a place for the night to evade the snow. We went to the visitors center to see if anyone there would have any recommendations on a nice place where to broke college students could stay. She immediately called the Pioneer Motel and got us a room for a pretty good price. We honestly thought it was too good to be true. When we got there we were met by a very kind lady named Sheryl. She was very welcoming and made it known that if there was anything we needed to just ask her. She also gave us some great recommendations for food: Buffalo Bar for lunch or dinner and the Running Bear Cafe across the street for breakfast. We took her up on these recommendations and wow they were good. We were also across from the laundromat which was much needed because we hadn't washed clothes in a week. Overall, great experience. Great service. Great location. Will definitely recommend to...
Read moreAfter roasting alive at the lazy g motel next door (owner to cheap to install air conditioners) my family came here and had a lovely stay. One of us was in a standard cabin, small but perfectly fine for one person and a great value for west yellowstone. Ac worked well, the bed was soft, and it was quiet. Some of us stayed in the 2 bedroom suite which looked to be even newer (or possibly newly renovated). We were a little nervous that the only a/c was a portable unit in the central living room with nothing in the bedrooms but hoooooo boy it cooled it down so much I wound up closing my bedroom door. It helps that everything is single story on ground level and the owner was smart enough to plant lots of trees so the buildings are always in lots of shade so that helps keep it cool anyway. Beds were VERY comfortable, sheets were soft, and the 2 bedroom had full amenities like a fridge, microwave, etc. Shower was spacious too. I'm a light sleeper and it was so quiet I slept like the dead. When we come back to yellowstone we're making a reservation here, we had such...
