I know the reviews seem really mixed so I’ll give my honest opinion of our stay :) my bf and I stayed here, just got back home today and I would say the hotel was extremely nice. The desk lady was super friendly and helpful, the room we stayed it was nice. The downside to the room was that it didn’t have enough storage or space. It was just my bf and I so the double room was big enough for us, but if it was a family of 4 and you brought a lot of stuff including food, it would’ve been a tight fit. It was doubtable though. For me personally I just feel like I need a very clean space, but if that’s not you than it was plenty. I also wasn’t a fan that the mirror was not in the bathroom but on the outside. As a girl who loves getting dolled up even for dinner, it was a bit of a problem with lighting. Not a huge issue, but minor detail. There are maids who come in and clean everyday, so if your off at the beach they will be in your room but only to change the trash and get you new towels. We didn’t have any problems otherwise but just a heads up to keep anything hidden you wouldn’t want them seeing. The major downside of the hotel is the parking. If I had one complaint it would be the parking is incredibly small. I legit (which could very well be a me problem) I backed into a pole because the angle in which the cars are parked suck and there was a car with a bike rack. So either I hit the car or I hit the pole. It sucked and I have major anxiety about parking so I hated it. It was kind of a big deal for me, thank god I didn’t have to use the car that much since everything was close by, but definitely something to consider. The distance to the beach was fantastic, I loved that everything including dinner, stores, etc were of walking distance. So I know the reviews are mixed but I think our stay was wonderful. They renovated about two years ago so if the reviews are 2 years old and are comparing the rooms and stuff. They are definitely updated now. They looked very nice, the balcony was nice and spacious. No elevator though. The pool was also nice and had chairs to relax and even a table. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. Checking in and out was not a problem either. PSA!!! If you are UNDER 25 you need a $200 cash deposit. You can’t use a card. They have an ATM but it charges an extra $2.50. If you are over 25 you can use a card. Other than that I think it was great and definitely worth staying. I know we will stay again. CHANGE THAT PARKING...
Read moreStay away from this place! As soon as we walk up, another customer was in the middle of getting very upset about a stench in their room and being offered a smaller room at another property instead… First red flag.||Then we get to the desk, the receptionist tells us he just got to his shift, can’t find our names and needs to talk to his manager (who isn’t there). Eventually he finds it, mutters our room number out loud (105) and needs to call his manager again. He tells us the room is still being cleaned and will be ready for a half hour (this is 6pm, already 2 hours after check in, which was at 4pm). We come back, he says the manager is coming with the key- he doesn’t show up until 7:30! He gives us the managers number dismissively because he doesn’t want to deal with the problem? Super unprofessional. The manager arrives, tells us a story about how the housekeeper walked off earlier in the day because her mother died and he has no one to clean the room. Mind you, during the time we were waiting for this guy to show up, literally anyone could have cleaned a room. This is where the dishonesty comes in - we were waiting outside in the parking area by room 105. There were workers going in and out of it, repairing the bathroom, we overheard everything. I told the manager it looked like people were working in our room, and he said he hasn’t been out there and doesn’t know what I’m referring to (it’s 10 steps away!). He tells me to call Expedia as if they will find us a new place, which I do and hand him the phone, and the guy says the words OK upon hearing they can’t change the reservation, and nothing else. We are frustrated, hungry, and salty from the beach - and go to eat. During dinner I get a call at 9pm that they are now offering us another room at a different property that is clearly not big enough to accommodate. (The young attendant is again begging me to call his manager who doesn’t answer the phone - and he wants us to meet him at the other place). Everything was super sketchy and unprofessional about this place. In the end we just left, without even getting a room. Do yourself a favor, avoid the drama here, and book...
Read moreFull Review!! Parking was precarious and they had to jostle a few cars but overall parking was fine. The apartment type rooms are at the back of the inn and the view is awful; old house and garbage cans. Very small cement type steps to get to the second level. It’s dangerous and I wouldn’t recommend kids or older adults staying on second level. Now for the room…it definitely looks bigger in pictures. The tv is at a strange angle from the seating area and the dresser under the tv is the only one in the apartment. One didn’t have a handle. I personally don’t use the dressers as a precaution from bugs. ( Thankfully no bugs!) There are also no closets just a small shelf with hanging rack that you could possibly hang clothes if you brought hangers. None are provided. This apartment does not offer a lock box for important items. The kitchen is tiny. Plates, utensils, dish soap, and dish cloths are provided. Sink is maybe the size of a dinner plate. No kitchen towels are provided. There is a microwave and small stovetop but there is no toaster. Table is in the corner with two chairs. Kitchen cabinets were a bit wonky and some were missing handles. Fridge is apartment size; smaller that a regular size refrigerator. Bathroom is very small. Shower is pretty cool! Besides the shower the bathroom was uncomfortable. We needed to ask for wash clothes even though they are provided. The air conditioners work well. There is one in each room. Beds are reasonably comfortable. Comforters are in the one dresser I spoke about. Pillows are decorative pillows. They do NOT provide regular size pillows which I thought was strange. Overall the stay was just ok. Nothing extraordinary, which I can understand; it’s Wildwood not Aruba. If a place to plop your head is what you’re looking for…this is the place. If you’re looking for somewhere comfortable and easy to live in for 5 days…this is not your place. I will most...
