Icon 36 Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

DO NOT BOOK HERE!||The first night the room was dirty, we didn’t have enough towels, the windows didn’t have proper curtains so we couldn’t block out the light shining through al night, it was noisy, smelt of cigarette smoke and the breakfast was very average. We got locked in the hotel and the same morning were locked out of our room when the card stopped working. ||We stayed again but only because it was the pre organised pick up location for our tour. To begin with a man was running around in the street with a huge knife. At 1am we had to move rooms because we could hear what sounded like termites tapping in the bed head!!!! This same room had no handle on the bathroom door and the dodgy wiring on the lamp cord was arcing!! |Worst hotel I have...

I booked this hotel after seeing the pictures but the room looked nothing like them. The booking said there was a bath but when I asked they said no room in the building has one.|The staff seemed lovely so I hate to leave a bad review but the room wasn't very clean and the main problem is that I think the pictures being used are from a very long time ago when it was a previous hotel as it's just recently been taken over apparently.||The staff did come straight up and do what they could to help such as changing the sheets and apologised but there are much nicer hotels in the area for a pound or two...

We thought this was a really good hotel with the most helpful staff. Any problem we had, they solved. Ordered us takeaways etc.

Had our own WIFI router in the room which was super fast, fresh linen daily, showers were hot.

We were in a noisy room at the front of the hotel and when we complained they temporarily moved us into the only room they had available (a single room), then the day after they moved us into a quieter room.

The only thing I could think that needed an improvement was the breakfast which was quite poor, eggs and toast always majorly overcooked.
