Review for Art Hotel – Extremely Disappointing ExperienceI rarely leave reviews, but our stay at Art Hotel was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share our experience.Firstly, the hotel was nothing like what was shown or described on their website. The photos are clearly photoshopped and do not reflect the actual condition of the property. Everything from the ambiance to the amenities was misrepresented.Upon arrival, we had to navigate through a mess of tightly packed motorbikes just to reach the entrance. There was no elevator access from the ground floor, so we had to carry our suitcases up several flights of stairs—definitely not ideal after a long journey. The room that was allocated to us was not the one we booked. When we entered, we were shocked to find it clearly had not been cleaned. The bedsheets and towels were dirty, and the bathroom was in an equally unacceptable condition. The towel we were given was so small it was only suitable for a toddler. The entire room felt gloomy and claustrophobic—almost like a prison cell.I raised all of these issues with the manager and showed him our booking confirmation. To his credit, he did move us to the correct room after acknowledging the mistake—but that doesn’t excuse the overall lack of cleanliness and misrepresentation. I tried uploading some videos but I couldn’t as Trip review doesn’t allow videos.Overall, I do not recommend Art Hotel. What you see on the website is absolutely not what you get. Save yourself the trouble and...
Read moreWe really liked the layout of the 6th floor suite. Balcony is nice too. Also love the location, in the middle of all the action and the rooms are decently insulated from all the noise outside. Air con is also operating well.
Staff is very responsive and takes care of issues right away as best as they can. Water was not working a couple times, but they got it back up and running in a few minutes.
What could not be taken care of during our visit is the ant problem. They are just everywhere. I'm assuming they're harmless, so we just kind of treated it as an annoyance/nuisance. Ants all over the floors, counters, bathroom, beds, etc. Every morning we wake up with a few ants on our bodies. Balcony is full of ants too. All the little black specks on the photos are ants. Everytime we want to use the toilet, we were sweeping away ants from the toilet and around the toilet because it is terrible to have them climbing on you during use.
Another issue is water escaping the showers and getting the bathroom floors wet everywhere. We wipe it up with towels, which they change out every day. The good service is the biggest reason why it was acceptable to stay and not change hotel last minute.
Overall, would not generally recommend. But if you don't mind ants,...
Read moreThe hotel is situated in the northern part of the city, with a distinctive entry point. Due to its location, vehicles cannot drive directly in front of the hotel entrance, which can only be accessed through a narrow alley suitable for motorcycles. Guests must navigate a short flight of stairs to enter, as there are no ramps, so luggage will need to be carried. Upon entry, guests are welcomed by a cozy lobby, featuring a variety of art pieces, some of which are available for purchase. The staff is friendly and they can speak in English as well, making communication easy. Inside the hotel, there is a small elevator that connects the lobby to the upper floors. While compact, it can accommodate up to three passengers, along with probably three pieces of luggage. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and feature a large balcony. They are equipped with a safe and mini refrigerator. Although the décor is a bit outdated, the rooms are clean and generally pleasant. The bathroom is also quite spacious, with a reliable hot water supply. While breakfast is not included, the room offers complimentary coffee and water for guests'...
