ááááá áŻááá! - Hi! Iâm Jimmy, a wine guru from Tbilisi, Georgia. In last six years Iâve been hitch-hiking all over my country and tasting lots of local wines from every corner of Georgia. We, Georgians, have more than 500 grape varieties, most of which are unknown even to the natives here. Tsangalaâs Wine Shop offers a unique wine collection, which I created for this classic shop. Some of our wines are amber and red traditional Qvevri (wine cask) varieties. For once, weâve got rare and unknown limited-edition family-produced bottles that entirely stay inside Georgian market. Also, weâve got aged wines and others for a wine lover of any particular taste. Weâve got wines from chĂąteaus, bio-organic productions and what not! We can offer you export wines and ones that are of rare Georgian sorts. âEvery week we change the tasting bottles, which anyone can taste for freeâ. Me and Alex, sommeliers in Tsangala, have tried all of those wines and can give the customers exactly what they need at the right time. Please visit our wine shop and check it...
Read moreThe worst place in Tbilisi to taste wine. First of all, the man with the beard, l do not know whether he is the owner or works there, he was extremely rude. I told him l want to try and then select, he sad me l give you just 3 choices and you must select one even tough l told him l can pay for trials. Then he gave me just 2 and said ok just select already one of them. Bu the way he used same glass to fill both red and white wine. So l was still patient and choosed the first one and he gave me from "another" bottle and 1 glass cost 9 lari it was not worth even 1 lari. He did not even give another glass, he just washed the glass in washbasin, filled the wine and gave to me. It was really too amateur and ridiculus. I wish l recorded a video when he did it in order to show to you. So, I DO NOT recommend to anyone. NEVER EVER GO THERE. If you want to taste good wine, go for example to Giuaani. That was really a good place with excellent prices and extremely...

The host took us through a free tasting of 4 or 5 wines and then we chose a glass to have at the restaurant. The host was so generous with his knowledge about natural wine in Georgia. Tsangala is located on the CUTEST street - if you can, sit outside and people watch with your wine. You are able to order food with your wine (I think from the restaurant next door?) but we did...
