A really good vibe saved the day but over the customer experience was not the greatest.
Arrived and didn't get served for 40 minutes, so missed out on 40 minutes of our bottomless brunch and when I food arrived we couldn't finish it because we didn't want to miss out on the brunch activities...
When we paid we had to split the payment. They kept on coming up to our large group so we were unsure who paid and who didn't, just made a simple thing so difficult.
We highlighted the drinks issue with the manager and asked if we could get a drink to compensate and he said no we should have said before payment... But we did when we waited 40 minutes and weren't given the chance to highlight this issue to anyone before payment.
We were disappointed with the organisation of this place because the brunch itself was great - We felt like other tables were being served quickly and we were forgotten about.
I would say go because it was a great laugh but I would just keep in mind that you have to be on it to ensure that you get your 90 minutes and if the payment has to be split into three like ours, just pay on one card instead of being hassled to pull a large group together.
Also, we booked via Instagram and I was put on a cancellation list as was fully booked... so my friend with a large following contacted them as well and was contacted way before me to book the group - I do understand why because of the exposure and would never have mentioned it but because of the overall experience, it was just a little...
Read moreHad bottomless brunch on Sunday Feb 25th. We were all really looking forward to it. The cocktails were constant. The minute your jug was empty there was a new one on the table. A recipe for disaster if you ask me. The food was fast food standard. My plate was taken off me while I was still eating off it.
The show was great. Naomi Diamond was on point but our friend ended up in A&E with cracked ribs after she was shoved by one of the other drag queens and fell. She hit a fire hydrant on her way down which was free standing within the main walkway. It happened during the last song of the show and it brought an abrupt ending to our night.
The queen did apologise but that was far as it went. We bumped into the manager outside while we were leaving. A couple of us called him over to explained what had happened inside and he seemed very dismissive. He then approached the rest of the group and began verbally abused the group and then began verbally abusing our bus driver when he attempted to calm the situation down. The worst customer service from a manager and most unprofessional handling of a serious situation. Might I add that the majority of our party didnât know who this man was. To them he was a random man from the road who started shouting at them which was upsetting. Especially when our friend was clearly in a lot of pain. He called us âjust a bunch of drunken womenâ which clearly showed the level of respect there. He made an already bad situation 100 times worse through...
Read moreMyself and a friend have seen Doll Society all over our social media pages so of course we had to give it a go! We went on a Friday evening and thankfully had a table booked (this seemed the only way to get a table!).
The drink selection is great with very creative names. Although 12 euro is a pretty average price for a cocktail in Dublin, the drinks are quite small, however, the flavor is great! They also have a full selection of beers for anyone who is not a fan of cocktails.
When we first arrived it was table service only and the service was very slow. We had heard this going in so we knew what to expect but the table beside did seem very confused. When it did eventually become bar service, it was again a long wait for a drink.
Overall, the staff were very friendly, and the aesthetic of this place is fantastic. The colours, the music, and the vibes were brilliant, and the fully operating photobooth inside was a nicely added touch. As this place is still only recently opened, I would definitely like to come back again in the next few months and see what a bit more experience will offer them.
Would highly recommend giving this...
