This culinary gem stole our hearts and taste buds, offering the best dinner experience we had in Dublin. Despite no hope for a reservation, the ingenious staff welcomed us to the classy curved marble bar with open arms.

The Cod Croquettes were fried to absolute perfection, setting the bar high for all future croquettes we'll taste. The Guinness beef pie was a delectable delight, but the true star of the show was the lamb stew; a taste that left us saying "wow" with every spoonful.

The staff's attentiveness and warmth made us feel right at home in this historic establishment. As we kicked off our first night in the motherland, we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience.

And the ambiance – it was truly magical. The atmosphere was filled with an old-world charm, and the lovely decor added to the overall charm. We were captivated by the unrivaled hospitality that Davy Byrnes has been perfecting since 1798.

The food, the service, and the location – all exceptional! Davy Byrnes is undoubtedly a place to indulge in the finest Irish cuisine while basking in the rich history of Dublin. This legendary spot has earned its place as a timeless destination for locals and visitors alike, and we left with hearts full and taste buds delighted. If you're in Dublin, do yourself a favor and experience the unmatched quality of food and drink, surrounded by an ambiance of genuine warmth and charm at Davy Byrnes. You...

Absolutely delighted to come on here and give this Venue a 5 Star Review. If there was a 10 star option i would gladly select that without any hesitation.

I dropped in to Davys last Saturday evening to catch up with a pal for a pint and a bite to eat.

Food was excellent but what topped it off was the SERVICE ! From the minute we entered until the minute we left, we were treated with the best customer service ever. I cannot remember the last time that i received such outstanding SERVICE. Linda, the hostess is exceptionally good at her job. You can tell she enjoys it and it reflects very strongly on the patrons of DAVYS.

The bar staff, every one of them , were pleasant, polite, accommodating and professional. There is also one Specific member of Staff assigned to hygiene control which is very impressive.

It is wonderful to be a customer of an organization that gladly wants your business and they prove this continuously.

To the management , Linda & all the other staff that were working last Saturday, Thank you. Looking forward to coming...

Just been for Christmas lunch in Davy's with my work gang for 2nd year in row. We came back because we had such a great time last year. In fact, we felt so cozy and welcomed, lunch ended about 8 pm! The location is unbeatable. Food is classic and tasty (fish and chips was yum! and I've previously had the roast chicken which delicious too). Prices are reasonable for Dublin. In terms of decor and atmosphere - there is a great little terrace outside (my friend said was very Parisienne) and the interior decor is really unique, lovely paintings, fabulous benches, just different than other pubs in Dublin. The customers are a bit older, doing their own thing... There really is nowhere like it in Dublin. Finally, the staff are amazing - the same girl served us 2 years in a row and she managed to be both adorable and at the same time, so competent. Never...

Recommended to try their authentic pub food. While it was busy, staff 1 waiter and a helper, attempted to serve about 20 people. We were seated but waited 15 minutes for menus. We ordered club sandwiches. They were huge! Unfortunately mostly bread and really undercooked bacon even by Dublin standards. They forgot my husband’s soup, which ultimately arrived and he said it was very good. Butternut squash. We asked for more napkins, never got. Asked for boxes for what we could salvage from sandwiches which eventually arrived. We asked for check-mind you cafe had 3 other tables left and waited and waited. I left to pick up a package snd finally my husband joined me. They seriously need more help and to cook their bacon.

Every year we fly over from America to visit our family for a week just before Christmas and at the end of our trip we always book a table here. We have had this tradition for the last 4 or 5 years and have always been delighted. The food is great, the drinks are fantastic and the atmosphere is like nothing else in this beautiful bar/restaurant. Filled with happy shoppers who either start their day or end it with a visit here. We have tried almost everything on the menu but our favorites are the very fresh seafood platter to share, their Christmas dinners, their seafood chowder and oysters. Definitely a place to add onto your list.
